And so it happened in the year of the Crocodile, that that which was to

become, became. And so there was rejoicing, laughter and splendor.

But all were not joining in in the undying hymn. Aton, the living sun, was

not pleased with the display of love that befell unto his sister the moon

and her lover the night. Therefore he picked up a tiny grain of sand into

his warm luscious hand and blew upon it. His hot breath burned that tiny

grain of sand for seven days, but those days remain uncounted because

no night came. And the people of B'elow tore their hair and smeared dirt

in their faces, but the burning breath of Aton never relinquished its grasp

of the slowly dying city. After seven days had past, Aton dropped the grain

of sand and in an instant night became once again, and so B'elow was

thrown into eternal night...
