The Charioteers of Tiranoc

It was a tempestuous night upon which the noble elves of Tiranoc did feast and drink fine wines to their heart's content. Little did they know the turmoil that lay ahead...

The gates of the elven town boomed, a knock of sorts, but the kind that a giant makes. Repeater bolt throwers lined up and mages at the ready, the High Priest of Tiranoc made his way to greet the unknown guest.

The gates were opened to a huge knight, in green armour, with what appeared to be live thorns growing from the joints.

"I am here to challenge you to a race", he bellowed, throwing a dark emerald ring from his finger to the floor.

At the very spot it had landed, a pillar of thorns appeared.

"If you win, I will gift you this powerful ring, the Bane of demons, if you lose you must grant me one million golden coins and 15 of your finest charioteers"

The High Priest accepted, recognising that the Bane of demons, a weapon that could turn the tides of fortune back in their favour should the dark times arise once more, needed to be secured.

The finest charioteers assembled at the agreed point but could only stare in horror at the chariot of the green knight, powered by 8 muscular, gigantic gorebeasts.

The race was over almost as soon as it began, the terrifying beasts kicking up a plume of dust into the faces of the terrified steeds of Tiranoc.

And so it came to pass that 15 of the finest Charioteers of Tiranoc would be taken on as full time players of a newly formed rookie blood bowl team...

Gloating as he took them for his first training session:

"I have a feeling you may end up the saviours of these fine lands but not all of you... More than a few of you will be crippled or killed by the adversity of the pitch... Prepare for war, prepare for death, prepare for glory, for you... are the chosen of Tiranoc!!!"
