The Creeping Spiders joined the WIL in season XLVI and smashed all expectations by capturing their first trophy in their debut season!
The Spiders put the wind up some other much more fancied teams and won their 1st match on just their 5th attempt, punctuated with the most delightful of last gasp touchdowns they are ever likely to score.

WIL Season XLVII:
5th - 19pts - 2 / 0 / 4 (plus 1 walkover)
TWO actual wins and a freebie walkover put the Spiders on 19pts in their 2nd season, a result which could turn out to make it their all-time greatest season!
Having done even better than in their debut season the Spiders’ head coach was certain he would be picking up another trophy at the end-of-season award ceremony alongside immediate promotion into the top division but ... nothing!
2 (effectively 3) wins, 5th place, best Goblin team in the league - and nothing!? The Spiders got screwed!

WIL Season XLVIII:
4th - 24pts - 4 / 0 / 3
What a season for the Spiders as they continue to defy expectations season after season!
Along the way they beat Chunky Goodness in the WIL Match of the Season; a goblin vs halfling, ‘winner-gets-promotion’ match to secure instant end-of-season promotion to the Premier Division, and also put veteran team, Good WIL Hunting, to the sword in a ‘retirement’ match!
What’s more the Spiders seem to have unearthed the goblin player of his generation in Runnt Snotmuva ... who’d have thought it!?

WIL Season XLIX:
6th - 13pts - 0 / 2 / 4 (plus 1 walkover)
Disaster! Waking up on the morning of the first match of the season the Spiders learn that they have not been promoted to the Premiership as promised but rather have been kept down in the bottom tier. What’s more the team they beat in a retirement match last season is also back and in the same division! The Spiders are so disheartened and just never get going all season.
Two desperately lucky draws and a forfeit win are the only points the Spiders muster in a torrid season that sees star player, Runnt Snotmuva, pick up a niggling injury and Sidney the troll suffer a career-ending injury. The Spiders retreat beneath the cobwebs of the Spiders Web Stadium to fester ...

WIL Season L:
3rd - 21pts - 2 / 1 / 4
At the start of the season the Spiders set up the Creeping Spiders Gobbo Akadamy and entered it into the WIL Fringe league. The Spiders’ popularity drew in countless other teams and come the end of the season 11 new teams had applied for full WIL entry.
Coupled with that, the official Tournament records clearly state the Spiders achieved 21pts (add that up!) and their highest ever league finish of 3rd place. FINALLY the Spiders simply could not be passed over any longer and attained justified promotion to the Conferences for the first time!

WIL Season LI:
5th - 15pts - 1 / 4 / 2
Probably the best yet season for the Spiders -
Playing in the Conferences for the first time, the Gobbo-hating WIL administrators deliberately rigged the divisions to set the Spiders against a monster ex-Premiership orc team in a bid to decimate the Spiders before they could get started. However, whilst that match proved a desperately unlucky loss, the Spiders rode the challenge superbly and went on to record their longest ever WIL unbeaten streak of four. The Spiders finished 5th in the only season ever where 5th place meant relegation (another anti-Gobbo fix!), but have renewed belief and spirit that they can defy the anti-Gobbo establishment and win WIL!

WIL Season LII:
6th - 19pts - 2 / 1 / 3 (plus 2 'draws')
The season where Superstar player, Runnt Snotmuva, was killed courtesy of the old tied bootlaces gag by one of his team-mates. What a legend of a gobbo. Cut down when he was just 13 odd yards away from making the top-ten rushers of al-time in the WIL.

Sad times.
The Spiders struggled to hold it together following Runnt's untimely death and limped to a 6th place finish.
at the end of the season the Spiders challenged Triple Crown Premiership winning coach, Pete W, to a play off match for promotion to the Premiership.

WIL Season LIII:
6th - 18pts - 1 / 2 / 4 (plus 1 walkover)
Finishing 6th, but with some 270,000 gold in the bank, the Spiders struck a deal with coach Stowelly of the Black Coast Buccaneers to trade the gold for the Buccaneers’ promotion spot to the Conferences. The deal was agreed, only for WIL Commissioner PeteW to inexplicably quit the league altogether, leaving new Commissioner Prez with no knowledge and assigning the Spiders to the Regionals again!


WIL Season LIV:
7th - 14pts - 1 / 3 / 3
The Spiders left it late to secure their win for the season, only notching it in round 6 (the penultimate round) in a match vs coach Jonno's Slann Power where both sides tried their damnedest to beat themselves. Fortunately for the Spiders, the Slann managed to stay the course right to the bitter end.
Not a vintage season for the Spiders, but they take away more not losses than losses heading into the next season.


WIL Season LV:
Ogres, Flings and more Gobbos all join the WIL at the start of the season and the Regionals draw is blatantly rigged so the Spiders have to play both the ogres and the other Gobbos.
The Spiders take the lead on a new WIL stable - #teamstunties - incorporating all these new teams under a single team umbrella. This is an insurance policy, just in case any of them prove to be actually better than the Spiders.
But worry not -
The Spiders overcome the ogres 1-0 before facing off against the other gobbos …
The Creeping Spiders vs the Spider Crushers - a team created by PeteW solely to beat the Spiders. But Lo, they cannot do it.
Credit to PeteW for a simply thrilling 1-1 draw, but the Crushers lose elsewhere whilst the Spiders battle to heroic draws to claim more points overall and end yet another season as the best gobbo / ogre / fling team in WIL.
The Spiders are now 10 consecutive seasons the best gobbo / ogre / fling team in WIL.
