Hi all,
I've set up a new league for teams of 7 here:
http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=4066
The Series is categorized by a small season (to begin with, we'll see how that develops later on), with 4 separate divisions and 16 unique races. Each team will play only 3 regular season matches. The 4 division winners will meet in the playoffs. |

LEAGUE NOW FULL!
A Word on the Divisions
As we will have 4 divisions of 4, I want to ensure that only one of each type of team (bashy, flair etc.) will reach the playoffs. And that one will be the best representative of that type.
So the divisions will NOT be random. Chaos will go with Goblin Cheaters, Ogres and other bashy teams. Elves will be grouped together. Amazons will go with Humans etc.
We may find that one type of team is better at 7s than the rest - at least this way only one of that type can reach the playoffs each year.
Good luck! |

The procedure for resolving tied divisions is now up on the league page...

Otherwise, once the last teams have been approved, we're rolling!

Well 2-1! I could have made it 3 but was messing around as usual with the Blackfangs just wanting to show off! But all in all a good friendly match with both coach's playing there 1st ever 7's match, a stepping stone to build on in the future! Machsphere played well and did his best after a good kick off role and a perfect defence allowed him to take the advantage 1-0 to the Scatter! From then on in a saved apoth role prevented 1 inj but the 2nd SI followed in the next turn or so, this and all the stunned and KO'ed Skaven prevented him form forming a solid defence for both the equaliser in the first half and the winner in the second! |

I believe trolls should be only allowed to goblins, not to orcs |

That 7's Show 2-1 Seven Lonely Haters
The Dwarfs of That 7's Show kick off their campaign with victory. An early KO followed by the death of Chaos Warrior The Headhunter at the hands of Thorgrim resulted in numerical superiority for the Dwarfs for the remainder of the game. Belegar the Longbeard made things worse for Seven Lonely Haters by causing Angry Drunk to miss the Haters next outing. 2 TDs scored by Runner Ranulf gave the Dwarfs a good lead, and although Horned Hater was able to score late for the Haters, it was not enough to prevent victory for the Dwarfs. |

I believe you'd be silly to want a 7s troll WHATEVER the team

World Sevens Series
Cavalier Division - Round 1
Blackfang 7's vs. Scatter Skaven 7
The Blackfang 7’s came out to prove in their first game they are force to be reckoned with, and that they are. Though the match looked in favor of the Scatter Skaven 7 team, it soon turned into a bath of rats’ blood.
Within 2 turns the Skaven were up 1 – 0, and it wasn’t until turn 8 of the lst half that the Dark Elves replied with their own touch down. Mind you in the mean time of those turns, the made short work out of sidelining rats with KOs, crowd surfs and serious injuries.
This continued into the 2nd half, along with another touch down for the Blackfang 7’s. There were too many rats sidelined for the Scatter Skaven 7 team to match a reply and it was looking like a 3rd touch down for the Dark Elves when the Skaven Thrower Quarterback failed 2 consecutive attempts to pick up the ball.
Dog Boy’s injuries take him out of the next game which is crucial for the Scatter Skaven 7 team, so coach MachSphere has no choice but to retire his services and find a new line rat.
The Blackfang 7’s played well and if their form continues even those Chaos teams will not be so confident to take them on in the finals. I think these guys have a good chance of taking it all the way, (that’s if they stop showing off).
Coach KrizRicht played well, competitive and friendly. Couldn’t ask for any more than that except for a win. |

That 7's Show 1-0 Seven in Heaven
Another victory for That 7's Show. An early Badly Hurt on one of the Heaven Rotters resulted in numeric advantage for the Dwarfs, allowing them to turn over the ball and score through Ranulf. Solid defence from the Seven in Heaven prevented the Dwarfs from adding another score in the second half, but were unable to score themselves, hindered by another couple of Badly Hurt players. |

Lords of the High Peak 2 - 1 Seaven Heaven
Well a good start to this Sevens series with a 2-1 win over the Woodies.
The key differences I think on the night were (apart from some poor catch rolls by the Wardancer), the extra +1AV of the High
Elves, and the mistakes of placing players near the sidelines by my opponant.
It was a dramtic fun game with plenty of turnovers, and some cracking moves in amongst. A desperate pass by the High Elf thrower right down field being the pick of them tonight.
Well played to Coach Grit, and let the league rumble on |

Yep GG russo.
Generally the luck was even, with me simply making a few dumb moves as i was a little sleepy after 3 matchs without breaks.
That said my wardancer failed 5 2+ catch attempts.
The last one was the funniest as we had both commented on his khemri ball handling skill during the game... so i deliberately threw to him in turn 16 with no time to score simply to test it.
Yep another 1 lol.
That aside, Russo played the better game today anyways and well deserved the win. |
