I know what you're going to say: 'You can't cherry pick in Blackbox. That's the whole point!'
I say: that's loser talk! The true picker does not give up so easily. Cherry picking never ends: it just adapts to its environment. All we need to do is think creatively.
So, what are (or will be) the best ways to cherry pick in [B]? (While staying within the letter of the rules, pls.) |

I have a perfect cherrypicking team. Hell, if there are no cherries for it to pick then one of my other teams plays instead so it dosent even risk any proper opposition.
Edit: <SillySod> oooh look.... that 9 man ogre team was too tough for my flings... they'll have to face the vampires instead... hmm, morleys revenge is fine by me too |

You might be able to get some pretty good matchups by saving some cash. Sound weird? Think about it!
If your TR/TS gap is large you will be able to draw games against teams with missing players. Then play the attrition game by having a bunch of DP's and fouling every turn.
Now I feel a bit dirty..... |

Get every [B] player on your buddy list, then proceed into picking those that have strong teams and those that don't.
When, and if there is ever a time when only weaker opponent teams (note that players may have more than one team so you'll need to do some serious research work) are going in the box, that's when you walk in with your pimped dwarf, orcs or chaos.
Alternatively, do the same but for players who dont usually pick tackle or have low tackle power on their teams and do it with amazons, simple as pie
.
Now elfballing in [B] is the TRUE challenge! |

I believe Shadow was blathering something about "powergaming" being the new rule instead of "cherrypicking" or some such. I'm sure he'll be along soon to school us all. |

Step #1: Make a rookie dorf team
Step #2: Fire a few players
Step #3: Watch your team get matched up against flings and gobbos
Step #4: Horde cash as your long beards get skills
Step #5: Buy positionals
Step #6: ?????????
Step #7: Profit

Blackbox serves the sinister souls on FUMBBL..., because only in Blackbox you can cherrypick and nobody recognizes it.
This very qualified comment was written without any knowledge about Blackbox. |

actually i wasn't "blathering" about anyone....
was simply making the point that blackbox will encourage powergaming to the point where it will force coaches to stop building teams catered to a style of play that is anti-elf or pro-slaughter, or something of the like, and will encourage coaches to build a team catered to team longevity...
