Here's a question, not an argument: has Christer ever specifically denied the possibility of an FFB transfer to L? If so, could someone link to that? If not, could we please get some official word on whether it is possible? Because I still don't see how anyone can be against this. As people love to point out, it's all up to Christer in the end - so I'd very much like to hear his thoughts on the matter. |

Wow, it was very annoying to scroll through this whole thread just to find the two posts from Christer that meant anything. Any chance the GLN article can be amended to include those two so others who don't care much to read everyones rants can easily read them?

Th-... the monster. It was me all along
But who is the REAL monster here? Is it wolfshirt-clad lrb4 stalwart who gets a few fleeting seconds of excitement and titillation from creating yet another amazon team full of ~~*sexy fantasy/porn star/iron-pumping babez*~~. Possibly knocking one out to the thought of those two hot catchers rubbging against each other in gleeful celebration of that touchdown.
Or is it...
the businessman, in his suit and tie. Getting up to go to work every day. Earning his paycheck and getting on with his life.
Well... it's the former, but the point still stands. |

Just a note from someone who has stopped playing on the site and will until blackbox goes FFB. When that happens, I'll be back, and I'll be playing in the box alone. I don't think I'm alone in this situation. And I'm very happy that my box elves and lizards will be able to transfer over.
This is all great news, I just hope it happens soon, before I forget about FUMBBL altogether. |

Although I haven't played any of my FFB teams in a while (mainly because of other obligations) it still saddens me to see them go. I've had some fun with them, and people do get attached.
But, having spectated a HUGE number of games in the FFB division, I can't say I disagree with the decision. I have seen some extremely shady stuff, many games that would completely invalidate the team's existence in [R]. Some was done obviously in the spirit of beta testing, a good majority just seemed to be exploitative though.
Throwing all the teams in [L] seems like a decent idea, one that I can't really find any actual problem with. Just put a tag on them like I've seen on other old teams "This team was created before XXX" and then leave it up to the various league admins to admit those teams to their leagues or whatnot. |
