Thanks! I just messed around in stand alone. Used my horrible CFling team vs. Deathgirbil's Avengers. Tehehehe. I like this addition. |

It would be awsome if there were a way to set up the blood stains to come out random. I use the blood stains for Ko's and up, just cause i like to see some blood on the field =) but defently would rock if the stains would come out random, dont think there is a way to do that though? |

I got your decals, and I got them in the right place, but how do I make them appear on KO's, BH's and SI's?
EDIT: Or did the decals(.ini?) make them appear at all injuries (except stunned of course) too? I'm not sure I've played a game after I put them in. |

You either use Colins "decals.ini"-file, or you modify your own...
KO1=whatevercollinsfirstKOpicis.
KO2=whatevercollinssecondKOpicis...
and so on... |

Excellent job Colin. The decals look great.
They certainly add to a bloody game |

As I understand it, they always work in order, and the order is separate for each team. That's why I greatly reduced the number of decals in the pack - you'll never use RIPbloodstain#234...You'd have to ask SkiJunkie if he can randomise the feature - then I'll produce a bumper decal pack
How to make your own decals in the style I did them:
1. Download Gimp v2.2 (or whatever is the latest edition, for whatever OS you use)
2. Open an existing decal - it's a 48 pixel square .png file with transparent background (decals are not limited to this size, but any bigger and it just covers too much of the pitch).
3. Select the Pen tool with a smallish brush.
4. Select a nice red for your Foreground colour.
5. Draw blood-spatter and pool patterns in the square (don't do big pools too close to the edge, they will encroach on neighbouring squares if you do). Vary opacity as you like.
6. Optional - Use a slightly different red to do some more droplets - remember that arterial blood is bright red, whereas veinous blood is darker. Drying blood goes brown.
7. Optional - Feel free to use the Smudge, Airbrush and Eraser Tools. I fancy doing a footprint brush and using it with the Eraser, set to a middling opacity, to represent footprints in the stains
8. Once you're happy with your pattern, last of all go to the Filters>Map menu and select Bumpmap and apply that (I used the default settings).
SkiJunkie suggested doing decals for lesser injuries with discarded equipment, bandages and so on (saline drip bags, syringes and teeth are all fair game, use your imagination!). Racially themed decal packs could be the next step - Khemri shouldn't bleed, they just shatter, and Goblinoids have green or black blood, right? . Maybe SJ can eventually do them the same way as the soundpacks. |

Thanks DonTomaso, I'm using Colin's decals.ini file, so it should work.
Think I'll go try a stand alone game...
Tested: It works wonders! My dwarves painted half the pitch goblin |

Someone said something about a tomb stone for RIPs.
Well, I'm not an artist but I tried
Click here and then click on "DOWNLOAD DECALS.ZIP".
