Hmm. oh dear Calcium it appears that i too am a nerd, although even i would never stoop as low as to introduce another orc team to the box. I think it is about time we all fought our green oppressors and embraced the glory that is the love of a lesser race.
Let's try and get some necros to win the first box tournement \o/ |

It looks like a good plan to me. i would like to see more people play blackbox. It definately adds a layer that adds value to Bloodbowl.
The only thing I would suggest is each round be a random matchup. That way no one can prepare for their next game, and you don't have "friends" helping eachother. Well atleast not until the final 4 or 8 anyway.
I think other than that...I would like to have a race battle as well like XFL once a year for each race

I will be adding two more teams to increase my odds of having a high TR team and to make hitting the magical minor TR easier. I suspect I will not be the only one adding teams. Good work! |

In the future, I would like t see random "not LRB4 compliant" fluffy prizes as we have in the ranked majors. I personally would not mind to play vs a team that has them (as it will be included in TS, and also as it wont happen every time), on the contrary i would apreciate the chance to play such a team. I know some people see this differently. maybe we should make a poll to see what the majority thinks.
However, as i said, i think there is no need to push things and im happy with this start. |

This is an excellent first step. I have a lot of faith in the team named too.
One thing this does bring into sharp relief is the need for a penalty imposed for dodging games. There is currently absolutely no incentive to play matchups you feel might be dangerous for a team you are trying to prep for a tournament besides your own personal ethics.
I advocate a forced concession for teams scheduled which then don't show up for their game.
Also I really hope further steps are made towards having all Box games competitive and worthwhile, with racial diversity encouraged. A long time ago I proposed a regularly reset ranking table based on each coach's success with specific races. Like a league table for ogre teams, a league table for goblin teams etc. This could be reset every 2 or 3 months with all games except tournament games counting for standing in it. A simple badge of honour should be enough for a prize.
As mentioned before, I would like to be able to offer my coding expertise if there was ever a situation where C would allow another coder to work on anything Box related. |

The difference is: in Ranked you can choose to play against such teams. In BBox you will be just sceduled to them. Also there is no way to really test their TS since they wiill be pretty rare. So the price could ether scedule too tough or too weak opponents. Also I think it''s nice to see Bbox just going a different route.
but... agree that... just 100k GP seems a bit low of a price for a major. Probably doesn't even cover the expenses for stars and allow to rebuild the team. |
