I have been talking to coaches in game chat, looking at blogs and forum posts. I think the issue with the Black Cup is the timing of the event. It seems to me a lot of coaches do not apply simply because the tournament takes place during the two worst months on FUMBBL to schedule matches, July and August.

I would suggest to increase participation in next years Black Cup to have the draw on the exact same date and time as the Lustrian Challenge. 2 Majors, one box and one ranked running at the exact same time. That will get coaches "juices" flowing that two majors are running side by side.

And then 2-3 weeks later after both are done then the one combined major the FUMBBL CUP!!!!!

Just my 2 cents.

Picks can be placed until Monday.

I have made notes on the master list on page #2 that have the official card. So coaches can see which matches have and have not been played.

Advertising about 3 weeks out would help too. I think next Major I'll tell all my Box opponents about it and also make a blog post or two.

Yeah I used that to make sure that I didn't pick a match already completed.
