Not having played them in earlier rule sets I would say that on the face of it they are better due to the OFAB changes.

LRB4: Roll for injury, casualty rolls taken as is.
LRB6: Roll for injury, casualty rolls all mitigated to Badly Hurt.

The bigger advantage for vamps in the current rule set over 4.0 is the way team value is worked out. The current rule set is far better suited to sides who have a few awesome players, than a spread of skills.

Vamps are better now than they used to be.

Although didn't hypno gaze used to be a straight agility roll?

I completely agree that Erikikers was the best coach that played. I still think that you can't call Vamps useless when they have won twice.

They were quite similar.

Vampires just won the Black Cup by the way.

In my opinion they are very strong and can outplay anyone if coached right. Erikekers was able to do that.

Its good to see i started something. I was mainly saying that i wasn't dissapointed with polemarch on the vamps. He had a good try and a tough team to manage.
