Sign me in with a human team ... reserve me the lone team from norsca if possible. Anyone has any background on the humans of norsca ... pirates of the seas of claws or chaos maybe? Empire and Brettonian themes are more clear |

Yup. If you want to use humans, they'd probably be from the south, influenced by trade with the Empire city-port of Marienburg. See: http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Norsca and the same link I gave earlier for maps, place names, etc. |

Hmmmm... If I try to get a team in a little populated group, the downside will be that the team has almost no chance to develop before the worldwide tournament. Better pick a strong starting race in that case. Or go by most fun race (for me) after all.

So far I'm considering High Elves, Chaos Pact (Naggaroth or Realm of Chaos), Amazon (Norsca), Vampires (Lustria), Underworld (Under Empire), Dwarf (Karaz Angkor) and Halfling (Brettonia)... |

Hehe, those two aren't necessarily the same. 
I have some time left to decide, no so rush.
Edit:
A few more considerations narrowed it down to Chaos Pact, Amazons (love the fighting Norsca women fluff) and Dwarves. |

Will it just be a one off tournament or will you be keeping the teams for multiple seasons?
How many games do you expect per season? |

It will be running for multiple seasons depending on the success.
I'm currently expecting an average of 4 teams per nation meaning 3 games of regular play. Then for the winning teams there will be a Group Phase in the Worldchampionship with another 3 games and for the best in these are waiting three KO games in quarterfinal, semifinal and final.
I'm juggeling with some ideas to keep the teams entertained that won't make it the international competition. There will be some possibility for them to play games too ->I',m thinking along the lines of opening up a second slot for their nation. But participation in that won't be mandatory, so people can take a break or continue playing, whatever they prefer. |
