Here is a thought and I am a little unsure as to the viability of this but anyway here goes:
The idea that the GLN could be made to more accurately represent the style of the times where it works more as an e-magazine than undergoing a single print run? That people who choose to contribute to it have their articles prettied up and added to the correct "space" (such as having seperate sections for fluff and strategy and so on...) and then have the print run be just a collation of the best of the past months as decided by an editorial commission (or something... I dunno... I am obviously making up words here) that is done as a continuation of the beauty that was the old GLN. I always loved the GLN as it was but the idea of having to wait 3 months to read someones article on the wonders of Orcish cheerleading or "How to play Vamps and not fail as hard as Twilight". Just throwing the thought out there... maybe someone will like it... ^_~ |

Maybe some of the bigger (L)eagues can have a spot to post results, like in the real papers. Sure would love to see it return. GL to anyone who tries. |

Does anyone else want to draft PainState for some role in this? His fluff pieces for the majors are one of the most fun aspects of the big tourneys aside from playing them or watching them live. |

If the head editor so desires I would be happy to work closely with (for) them, I don't code well or I'd consider that job myself. I am an english and publishing student, I even have managed to get some of my own stuff published (this site isn't limited to nerds of the the math/science type). I would be happy to do a copyedit. I would not tell people what to say or how to say it. I would only look for glaring usage, spelling and grammatical errors. I could also help with the selection and hunting down of contributions. I am not perfect, but I am one of those rare people who enjoy editing.
Hoping for a chance to contribute!! |
