I've never really done the Wood Elf thing. My Tree has Guard and Grab and just got his 3rd skill. TV2000 team.

Which skill and why? The why mainly. They all seem to be sub-optimal.

Why not Juggernaut?
Let's him dictate position when he blitzes, and protects him from Both Downs

If not, then Break Tackle. The added mobility will always be useful, and AG6 dodging is always sickening

Piling Awn is a horrible idea. I would take Break Tackle

Yeah they kind of all suck from this point onwards.

Multiblock i wouldn't take without block, but it can be done, just to have options. It's very prone to turnovers tho.

Piling on on ma2 is a no-no. Unless he gains +ma and/or jump up, it would only ever be used in turn 8/16.

Juggernaut no because i don't think you'd ever blitz with your tree.

Break Tackle on st6 sounds wonders. But with ma2 you ain't really going nowhere. It might make sense if you face lot of claw people or stuff like that...

Next time roll a double or a +stat on your wood elf tree.

And, if you don't, I'd retire and move on to a new tree

I don't really use him to Blitz. He holds it down in the middle offering Guard assists and ties down opponents with Stand Firm and Grab. I push opponents to him when I can to feed the Tree. And with MA2 he can't blitz good targets easily unless my opponent is very careless.

Maybe Juggs would be good after Break Tackle... but not before.

Yeah. I am wondering if I shouldn't just retire him now. But I guess Break Tackle is a fairly core Treeman skill. And it is only 20 more TV. I like having him and at this TV... maybe if the team crashes and burns.

Break Tackle is the first choice if you don't get to choose block when it's a fling tree, with woodies you probably don't need much more than a roadblock.

Let's keep the responses polite, yes?

Cycle for doubles if you have the cash. Break tackle if you don't.

I think grab is the best 6 SPP normals for a woodie tree (because of OTTDs and rooting). Guard is less of a priority (because the game tends to move away from him).

And the obvious answer is not running a tree at all.

The point of the tree is to tie down as many of the opposition as possible. BT might help with that sometimes.

Noone a fan of multiblock? Still getting 2d blocks against str3 w/o assist and more blocks vs skill-less linesman the more CAS caused and faster you get to 51 and hopefully a double or stat Smile
