Hey!
I'm new here, and looking forward to getting started.
Would anyone be up for a game this evening? I could do any time from 19:30 GMT. |

Cheers, guys.
I've just played my first match. Scraped a narrow win, but had a Black Orc stoned to death by the crowd! |

Yay! Gratz on the win.
Make 3 teams, I recommend.
1 League team for the 145 Club.
1 League team to learn against the Faculty of Academy Instructors.
1 Ranked team to go play games with. |

Dunno if i'm saying what i did because i want to show good example and am hoping this kind of action could spread around.. or if i'm bit self-centered and at least get bit of satisfaction from possible attention of what i did for past 2 hours.
I opened that match he mentioned.
I looked his opponent.
Both new players.
I watcher replay.
I made commentary for both opponents turn by turn. (Mentioned both: what they did wrong and what they did right.. there were cases where there was no right or wrong so i mentioned some alternatives but said that "that is ok too" or something similar)..
Gave some links to helpful sites and places, wished good luck, welcomed to fumbbl.
Dunno if they are gonna appreciate it, hopefully they will
But..
i hope that i'm not the only one who could start doing this.
It was time consuming.. but not gonna be last time i'm doing this. |

This is essentially what I (and other coaches) do for new coaches in the 145 league. If you're interested you could contact Throweck to see if he needs more coaches helping out |

So 145 is alive?
I've heard many times that it's dead and then i hear it's alive (i have heard both front and back.. never took time to check what was really going on).
I used to suggest 145 to new coaches but somehow i didn't see they joining that very often..
I don't have time to join yet another league if it's 7 or 10 days rounds.. but if it's something that i could jump in and out i could join 145 to help new ones.
If that's not possible i'm doing this only with coaches outside of 145 (and if you confirm that it's alive, i will begin to recommend new coaches to join in it again) |

Cheers, guys! Thanks for a very warm welcome to the forum, and particularly to Kuumo for his detailed match commentary.
Quick question on the 145 Club and the Faculty of Academy Instructors. Can I use the teams I create for anything else, or just in those leagues?
Oh, and would you use a different race for each League or should I stick to the same one while I learn the ropes? |
