I haven't got any earrings. Ever. Not even for my girlfriend, although I might get her some for Christmas.

Has one of you got earrings? Or maybe just tried to punch a hole through your ear by yourself and it got miserably infected and stuff? What kind of earrings do girls like?

This is only from my experience with girlfriends and the wife. Most girls I have known don't really want earrings unless they have jewels. They can buy nice looking earrings for themselves... if they aren't expensive then they don't want you to give them any. *Sighs* then again it's like that with most things and woman. Shocked

whale, it's a nice golden whale, my granmother's present (she thougth that skulls and snakes weren't good loocking). But for a womans oppinion, my sister still wears skulls and the like (...and black leather jackets and boots... scary Razz )
Edit: I haven't bougth earings to my girlfriend yet... pretty ears... Rolling Eyes

I've worn earrings, but never more then one at the time. Mostly stuff like a bear, a dice or a sword. Usually rather small things.

punched holes in my ears daily for the better part of 3 years. Never got them infected but they used to swell up and look real wierd.. that's what finally made me stop. Ahh it was good days though.

Yup, have three...got the first when I was 13(12 years ago), my 2nd when I was 14 and the last when I was 20, and I was very, very, very drunk the last time Smile

got 3 in my left ear and one in my right....and looking for time to get more Very Happy

goes along with the same mentality as people getting tattoos and whatnot....all about personal expression

as for buying earrings for women.....birthstones are usually a good buy(at least in my experience)....something subtle, not like ivanna trump gaudy....you'd be surprised how good a small stone looks as opposed to an enormous rock....
