Hey!

Just looking to get webhosting and a domain name, but dont really know who to go with! The most Id be hosting would be 100MB and its not going to be used extensively, its for my silver band and possibly viewed by a few other local bands as well!

Registering a domain name is OK I think, I have found a few sites that will register my .co.uk address for £10 for 2 years, but then finding somewhere that will give me between 50-100MB webhosting space, preferebly without ads. Whats the general pricing that folk have come across, Im really wet behind the ears when it comes to this jazz so any help would be most helpful!

Thanks!

OKies!

Finally got round to buying hosting from those guys Rijssiej and am happy! But am on the lookout for a free web photo album generator that you can add in html code on top of it, to match the layout of the rest of the site...

***Edit***

Im actually using this program which fulfils my needs and will do, but I guess a fancier program will cost me money!

I recall you talking to me about this. What happened to Gallery ( http://gallery.menalto.com/ )? Is it not up to spec?

"to match the layout of the rest of the site... " sounds like a job for CSS, to me...

On a related note, I can recommend Irfanview ( http://www.irfanview.com/ ), which has excellent batch processing, ideal for producing sets of thumbnails or making pictures a uniform size.

This might be worth a go: http://jalbum.net

I just uploaded a website for the brass band I play in, and the guys were keen on me adding a guestbook to the site as they have relations in far flung places like... far away!

But Ive used several Free ASP guestbooks (my host say they can handle asp...) but none of them work though I think I installed them properly

Here is the site, dont laugh at it! but Im not sure what to make of the error message for the guestbook page... Ive also uploaded the guestbook in a zipfile if anyone has a clue what might be amiss!

my host is: https://www.b-one.net/ I took the cheap option Smile but if anyone knows of a better guestbook to use that would be great! Unfortunately Im not that good a programmer, wish I could play BB for a living Wink Laughing
