it is a nice idea. And we have discussed it at length since fumbbl began, but couldnt come up with aworkable system that isnt open to abuse, but seeing as U has tournaments, i dont see why we cant implement it in groups(ie league groups, who just play in the group) , but that isnt for me too decide.

Renting a player for one match may be interesting too. Like freebooters or Star players they will cost half their value (the calculated strength of course), while the owner of the leased player should get only about 10% of the value.

Can´t see why u should only get 50 % of the money.
If u sell a wardancer with AG 5, Stripball fx. it´s likely to be because u need a lot of money.
U wouldn´t sell him, if u couldnt even buy a new wardancer.
So u wouldn´t sell ur best players unless they could help with lets say 2-3 new players.

Renting wouldn't work--what if the player earns spp's while rented out? Does he drop those spp's, like a star? Or come back 10 spp's richer (perhaps enough for another skill)? Or worse, what if that player's injured?

this is not going to happen on fumbbl

if you want trading go start your own leauge to play, there are plenty of resources to run a league on the internet out there if you go look

Generally, I can see players being sold because:
A) You consider them too niggled to continue with and would otherwise be retring them
B) Your playing in a TR capped tournement and are being forced to retire players to stay within the cap.
C) You've stacked all the sp's onto one lineman in order to later sell him and front load a team with expensive position players at a (hopefully) lower TR for whatever reason.

The first 2 means you could now be getting money for nothing (Player would be retiring anyway), the third is possibly an abuse set-up.

Cool.

There's certainly demand for it, though - some of it from me - so I'm going to keep agreeing with these threads as they pop up.

Can't see the harm in same race trades in Unranked or DivX although it may be a technical hassle having to transfer their history, etc.
