Specialist Games, and its ilk, Blood Bowl, Necromundia, et al, are officially no more it seems.
New Granny site has erased them from history. Searching on them brings up absolutely nothing. |

It is rather tragic aye. But at least the only real positive the GW site was providing, at least on the BB end of things, is the PDF which is easily accessible for everyone through a quick google search. Otherwise, as sad as it is, I don't think this will have much effect on the livelihood of BB as a franchise. There are other sites (this included) which can provide a central hub for any potential newcomers. |

My bookmark to the CRP ruleset now brings up a page saying 'All records expunged from Library'.
Not really surprised. GW is a joke and has been for a long time.
It's a real shame FUMBBL is still not allowed to give the rules to the game we are playing. Makes me mad enough to pile on a lawyer. |

yeah I noticed this earlier today and posted on tff about it. It is dumb of them really, specialist games were the only ones they have ever done well. Necromunda, bloodbowl, man o war, Mordheim and of course bloodbowl. |

Sooo, if GW isn't interesting in it any more, do you think they will sell it to me on the cheap? I could probably get a grand together |

AFAIK the NAF have the CRP hosted on their site, so its simply a case of just pointing any beginner to that site now instead of GW and you're good to go. But yeah GW's approach recent years has been pretty damn poor. Especially poor 40k, good god that has become quite a parody with the ally and escalation rules. |

More olds! Specialist Games have been gone for about 1 year now (officially) and for about 10 years if you count from when they stopped releasing stuff for them. Hardly a surprise they don't feature on their site any more.
And to be honest... Since GW said they didn't want to retool the molds for the games, I'll just say "good that they're gone". Because I bought some Epic Armageddon miniatures a few years ago and even then the molds were atrocious... as in "money back" poor. The miniatures were pretty much lumps of metal vaguely shaped as what they were intended to represent.
Anyway, rules for all of their games are floating around the internet and there are alternative minis for most of the Specialist Games out there. |

all true, but it is bad news for the future of the game and getting new people in to games like bloodbowl. Say what you will about GW, but they are still the heavy weights in the miniature world and if a game belongs to them and they have rules and even minimal support for it then there will always be a small stream of new people that discover those great games. |
