So why is it that all the fluff surrounding the Dwarven DeathRoller suggests that it's a modified piece of landscaping equipment instead of a tunneling/drilling machine? Aren't dorfs stereotypically miners? I am not familiar with the Warhammer world so maybe the WH Dwarves are naturally farmers instead of miners... |

What fluff is this? The roller (before it was a death roller) was/is used to keep Blood Bowl turf flat. Just one day the Dwarf Warhammerers got hold of one mid-game and used it during the match to ehm 'flatten a bit of turf that was sticking up a bit (the bit sticking up was a goblin, but it was green and easy to mistake for a bit of turf).
Remember the BB world totally revolves around Blood Bowl so there would be a lot of these things (Dwarf made of course) floating around. Thus it's popularity as it's easily obtainable and needs very little modification.
Unlike the killer dozer, a bulldozer type machine used in Dwarven Smithies that seems to have disappeared from the game. |
