After a 5 year absence I thought I'd pop my head in and see what's going on in the world of FUMBBL... (Hello to anyone that remembers me )
As expected I've encountered a few teething problems.
I tried to initially watch a game, I couldn't open the client.... So having uninstalled Java and reinstalled I then went to test it on the IRC Mibbit (not sure if anyone still uses that?).
So I made my way to Discord, but my profile is locked and not letting me chat.
I tried to fix the client problem myself and have read that Chrome doesn't support Java anymore.... Is this correct?
I have looked through a lot of posts and have even tried some very complex efforts at allowing access to all FUMBBL sites.... can anyone please advise if there's something blatant that I'm doing wrong?
Thank you. |

Replays don't work at the moment, which is annoying
But playing and spectating should work
Make sure you can spec before you attempt to play
Chrome may not allow java but the client doesn't run in browser, it's in desktop java so should work- you download a tiny java file which loads and runs the game client |

Thank you for the replies.
I have only been attempting to spectate.... I had noticed replays weren't working.
Could someone be kind and provide the correct link for the Java file... I ask because the one I've downloaded/tried/removed/downloaded/tried/removed/downloaded/tried is not working for me.
Sorry to be "that guy". |

The correct link is specific for each match
It's the little download you get when launching
It's called ffblive.jnlp
You then need to run that, in chrome. Run it in java - if you have java installed should be able to just double click it
In Firefox, it just auto opens in java for me |

Again I appreciate your reply.
The issue I seem to be having is that my laptop attempts to open the file with Adobe. I have attempted to change the default program to open it to Java, but the Java option isn't available. |

After much faffing around, it turned out all I had to do was install an earlier version of Java.
Thank you for the attempts to help. |

Windows 10
Chrome
(As I say, I have fixed it by uninstalling the latest Java and returning to a version from 4 years ago.... I did read that Chrome doesn't support the latest Java.... This may not be true, but the latest Java wasn't working for me ) |
