A Decade of Delightful Diversion and Merriment.
Ten Years... In ancient times you would serve less time for killing someone, assuming there was half a reason for it. The crime we are talking about today is different however... It's the crime of league blood bowl taking a break over the new year period.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary, the noble warriors of Godzone will incorporate new customs into the revered traditions of the past, and will observe the renowned Waikikamukau Festival under the new ruleset for the very first time.
The holiday tournament is on like Zolcath the Zoat, as it always is.
- New Zealand evening timezone
- Dec 26th kickoff
- Four weekly swiss rounds (give or take)
- Overtime on every game, followed by kicks.
- Designed for BB2020 teams, to be run in the DIBBL ruleset.
- Teams from other comparable leagues are welcome to enter upon request.
- Existing DIBBL teams cordially welcomed with a free pass.
WAIKIKAMUKAU may be a bit out in the boonties, but it's home to the best little tournament for that serves as an excellent excuse to kick back and have a few drinks and a few games of blood bowl in the end of year break.
Just a few rules. More like guidelines if you will. Regional observations based on local traditions is probably closer to the truth.
- Mega-stars may induced, but each mega-star must be accompanied by two (2) Temp Agency Cheerleaders to also be hired.
- A spiked ball is used for play. Any failed pickup or catch roll results in the player being stabbed.
- +100k for cards, for both teams, use it or lose it.
- Right Stuff prevents Tackle skill when blocked.
- Banned Sneaky Git players are sent to the KO box instead.
- Golden Goal for overtime.
- Blitz will be used for all overtime kickoff results

Ten years! Surely you need to keep with tradition and roll out polemarch's punishing intro:
On certain mornings, as the first rays of light radiate from the dawning sun, a long white cloud can be glimpsed in the distance over the rippled blue waters off the coast of the Southern Wastes. Tormented by the stifling heat and relentless dry winds turning their skin to leather, the Blood Bowl tragics are contemplating an off season going to seed and withering like weeds under a good dose of ‘Roundupâ€.
Then one day in late December a voice is heard drifting over the waves.
“Cricky dick! Bro, stop stuffing ya face with greasies and come here. Can’t be sure based on the togs, but there is some pakeha cuz over other side.â€
“Sheez Bro, you ain’t wrong.â€
“Now that Chrissy is done, you think that they might be wanting a tiki tour over here and play some Bloodbowl?â€
The sun-addled brains absorbed the word ‘Bloodbowl’, triggering an involuntary response. Before you could say, “couldn't see the road to the dunny if it had red flags on itâ€, all the blokes and mates got a into g, grabbed their gummies went sailing of to Aotearoa to find Waikikamukau and play Bloodbowl in cooler climes.
“Sweet as. Hey bro, rattle your dags and make sure the chilly bin is chocka with L&P, get your nana to jack up some savs and pavs and don’t forget the chocolate fish from the dairy. This going be a piss up large so better make sure that zambuck is around in case some dag carks it†|

Transfusion Time has made the transition to BB20 for Waikikamukau. It is with great sadness that we've had to say farewell to Legends Flame Princes and Ice King, as well as the much loved original Marceline. There are only two Vampire Blitzers available in the new roster and they have been filled by relative youngsters the crowd favorite (10 mvps!) speedy Princess Bubblegum, and murderous Scorcher.
The league rebate has arrived for the traded in vampires, and we'll be hiring new positionals after Round 1. |

And that's a wrap!
Thank you to everyone who took part in another great event, it's always fun - even when the dice are up and down.
A big congratulations to GreySquirrel who emerged victorious, and to lolvenom (2nd place with the best resistance), ramchop, Wozzaa and Klazam who all finished with 3 wins.
Ramchop has again made some amazing icons to celebrate the event, so feel to pop the into the bios of the teams and players that took out the awards!
