So how is an apostrophe pronounced?
i.e. This is the dog's bone.
I have 5 dogs.
No difference in pronunciation. If the apostrophe is intended to convey some sort of pause or stop in the pronunciation, then a dash, or even a space, would be more accurate.
And cheers, W'l, I apppreciate it. (that's pronounced Whatball, btw)... |

Surely apostrophes are mandatory for Ogres? | what you doing back here? |

I'm trying to come up with an angle for this guy's portrait, it's usually helpful if there's a sense of character (taking it as a given that he's already a homicidal psycho). Perhaps if we develop a pen portrait then a name and my drawn portrait will follow.
For what it's worth I think we're getting somewhere with the name Slabb but to my ears "the slaughtermaster" feels like too many syllables for his team mates to pronounce. Maybe something like 'Slabb the Knife' or Drak the Knife? it's both a reference to a knife wielding maniac, and the monosyllables have a punchy, brutal feel to them (There's also a pretty good song by Kurt Weill to accompany it ). |

I believe, fluff wise, he's a mad ogre chef, who only comes onto the pitch to get more 'meat' for his stews. |

I see, that seems quite similar to Mincemeat the Mad Butcher and his own culinary reasons for playing the game. Perhaps the Ogre can be Burger King to Mincemeats McDonald's! |

Cusimano the Gentle Giant is being used in a game at the moment, which prompted this thought:
The real Cusi was before my time, but given his reputation (and the precedent of Lorebass not having Loner) I wondered if it might be appropriate to remove Loner from him? He does have Fan Favourite already, which fits, but Loner doesn't seem to. |

I guess this is better posted here:
I tried to crop a few of the coloured star players by knut_rockie onto the standard background.
What do you guys think? (Lorebass, Oddster, Tot, Mincemeat)

I´ll try to find old client from my old hd (if I can find IDE-cable somewhere) and post picture here. If someone has easy access to old client and Oddster picture, feel free to post here. |
