The Eldritch Abominations beat Gnome is Where the Blood is in a 3-0 victory. Gnomish armor did not hold up to reputation and fussy refs threw out several gnomes leaving coach Dalfort in a tough spot.

The Eldritch Abominations beat the Snotling Rovers in a 2-1 victory. It was a wild game with bombs, snots, and horrors being flung about the pitch. One of the games highlights was when the Snotling Rover's star troll ran in an unexpected troll td.

And a Snot got eaten! Looked like a fun game.

The Sherwood Forest Goblins played their Round 6 and Round 7 matches, recently. First was the rematch against Eldrich Abominations–– an impressively built team, sporting a Block Firewyrm, and a +Ag Horror. Brutal dicing. Seriously.

Next against Gnome Is Where The Blood Is. This team was sadly underdeveloped, but used this to induce a wizard. Turn 1, Wizard pops the ball from my ball-handler, stunning him, and Cannon shoots a Gnome far into the backfield, where the kick had landed, and out of the blitz range of the offense, which was tied up in pinning Daredevils and Bombers. Gnomes score a turn 2 touchdown. However, the game soon devolved into another dicing... much like the previous match, as well at the teams' first meeting. On a positive note, Gnome Is Where The Blood Is currently remain the only team which has managed to secure a Touch-Down against the Sherwood Forest Goblins, and they've done it on two occasions.

David da Spearcaster went on to receive the MVP, skilled, and rolled a 12, opting for the +ST, after a tough decision between Block and MultiBlock.

Fear us, SLAMmers!

The Snotling rovers finally won their first game! A match that saw the snots outcassing the gnomes, two trolls getting cas'd (one regen) on the very first turn by bombs, gnomes & bombs flying around like mad and an overzealous ref.
All in all a fun match, though a bit one-sided dice.

The Rovers managed a second victory in their last game of the season. Seems like the Snots just needed a while to get going, that's two in a row! We'll have to keep the momentum going during the season break somehow. The game didn't feature a whole load of cas, although a troll managed to kill a +st horror, but there were tons of ko's. The ball was never long in someone's hand and even was most of the time left on the pitch. The Abominations almost managed a TD in T8 after the crowd threw the ball straight into the endzone of the snots, but a the Horror didn't manage to pickup the ball after a great sprint.

Second half saw the Horrors receiving and it seemed anyone's game until one of the wyrms bombed itself out of the game and the Abominations lost the ball when they tried to ran away from the unchecked Trolls. Then a mad scramble for the ball occured which saw the Horrors take the ball again from the snots, only to face multiple blitzes. Eventually a snot managed to get the ball and survive for long enough to hand it off to a Goon who rushed to the endzone. Both a desperate ttm and bomb failed and thus the Goon could run it in in the nick of time to secure the win!

http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=3410494 This match sees Group 2 complete their games ahead of schedule, so thanks and congrats to all involved for that.

cameronhawkins goes into the final playoffs, and also sets the bar for the
S.L.A.M.dunk award with an impressive total of 17 TDs for the season.

Ryld, meanwhile, finishes off a brutal season for the Squigs, ending with 9 RIPs from 8 games, including slaying a giant in their last game. Can anyone else wrest the FaceS.L.A.M. award from their toothy maws?

And as a sidenote, Dalfort notches up the Gnome's first RIP of the season, meaning that every team in S.L.A.M. has killed at least one player...
