A lot of new coaches have asked, "How come my player has no icon or picture?" Well, simply it is because the icons and portraits don't come with JavaBowl. You have to download a bunch of icons and go looking for portraits on the 'net.

Well not anymore.

I have been working very hard for the last few weeks to accomplish a personal goal of mine. Completly meshing FUMBBL with the JavaBowl client. I think I have achieved that goal, pending some coding from SkiJunkie.

What I have done is created a download that adds player icons AND portraits for EVERY race and EVERY player that you can possibly play on FUMBBL. I have gone through picture editing, searching, coding and downloading of many different files, and combined them into one.

What does this mean? You will NEVER see and "Unknown player" picture, or a (L) or (Bg) icon for your players anymore.

The only thing missing are the Star Players. But, I have already designed them, and pending some coding from SkiJunkie, they will also be supported.

And finally, JavaBowl will be "complete" in my eyes.

If you want the file, you can find it here.

EDIT: Note that the Pact teams cannot be added due to a client bug. You can, however, edit your own teams (as described in the README to show your OWN players correctly)

Just created a Chaos Halfling team and was really positively suprised about the quality of the icons.

Keep up the good work!!!

Good work, but you've missed some of the Pact team players

I believe that's because of the way that FUMBBL names the allies. If your Chaos Pact team adds a Skaven Thrower, the roster doesn't indicate whether it's a Skaven or a Norse. So, the client has no way of knowing.

The pack could add a generic Chaos Pact Thrower (and Blitzer and Black Orc and Gutter Runner and etc...) position, but you wouldn't necessarily get the race right. There's just no way to tell without looking at the stats and the rest of the team.

That's what I do in my positions.ini file, at least... although I'm not using icons so it doesn't matter much.

Thats what I thoguht the problem was BMM, easy enough to alter your Icons file depending on what positions you buy, I.E if you buy a skaven thrower just make the thrower icon a skaven one.
But you'll have to swap it about if you change your mind or they die, plus it wont help if you're opponent has a pact team, so probably best not to bother, or just use tokens for the pact team.

Or just pick the most common ones and use those... and be prepared for nasty surprises.

Pact Teams are technically not a "playable" team, so they aren't supported.

(playable as in I can't start a new Pact team)
