So I've been working at sprucing up the bio for Watchmen Philosophy, but I happen to be godawful at utilizing BB code. I've been fortunate enough to have had some help in the past, and I've been able to extrapolate a bit from the basic information I do know, but I could really use some help in making my team's bio look as nice as that of the Lone Stars or any number of teams in this thread.

Anyone able to explain to me the basics of linking to pictures outside of those uploaded to FUMBBL? Or how to create drop down menus with links on different pictures? (Like the Info/Tournament/Players menu found in many bios).

Thanks in advance.

if you want to link to pictures that are out side of fumbbl they need to be stored on a secure location. in other words the URL must start with https:

If you want drop down menus like Qaz has on his lone stars you need to first create your image and then you cut it up in to the bits you want to be buttons. like this example - https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=735585 its not finished yet but you get the idea.

That was made out of these images -

etc...

but first I created this image, then started cutting -

Woodstock linked the code here for the drop downs.

I've searched all over (clearly not well enough) trying to find that kind of stuff. Thanks so much. Super helpful.

G'day Guys,

Trying to sort out my bbcode for a group.

Here is what it looks like in notes: https://fumbbl.com/p/notes?op=view&id=642
(notice how its all aligned into one big block)

But when I paste the code into my group page it appears like this:
https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=8818

Just wondering where I'm going wrong?

edit: apparently the notes page isnt showing what i can see on my screen. so here is my code?
Code:

[block=floatcontainer width=930px][block=floatleft pad0 width=200px valign=top align=center][img]https://fumbbl.com/i/418157[/img][/block][block=floatright pad0 width=730px% valign=top align=left][img]https://fumbbl.com/i/419673[/img]

The lh=0 is the key.

Edit: This is a response to TruckerPunk's request that has been deleted. Confused

Your images are probably tall enough to get away without the lh=0 (line height), but if they were shorter you definitely need it.

Yepp.. WhatBall that's the very classic one. You could also use the way of Mr. Josh. Means combining/overlaping images....

Something like this ...

[block=floatcontainer pad0 width=485px bg=white][block=floatleft][block automargin width=10px][img w=485px]/i/401871[/img][/block][/block][block=floatleft lh=3px]
[toggle=image group=season src=/i/408770 block=h1][/toggle][toggle=image group=season src=/i/408771 block=h2][/toggle][toggle=image group=season src=/i/422360 block=h3][/toggle]

[block=hidden group=season id=h1]OBBA 17[/block][block=hidden group=season id=h2]OBBA 18[/block][block=hidden group=season id=h3]OBBA 19[/block][/block][/block]

Here is the CODE

Well, what we usually see are great team bioses, but it seams that it is very unsual and/or very rare to use code for a player vita.

Recently i started to use some simple bbcode also for player profiles. Well usually with some unique player pic and some team based standard skin!

It is a combination of the image combining/overlapping trick found by mister_joshua. That's the header image (reused from the team bio) with the team colors and the OBBA season medals. The rest is very simple text with some floatcontainer and url code. So with some small acts everyone could bring some highlights to your player.

Something like i did for my OBBA team. And here is the code.

Another try to inspire some code use for the player vita.

Here for the Badlands. Just a simple 3 button toggle. As you can see, it is simple as it is. Try to reuse the images you use for team bios and you can copy it for every new player.

The code.

I'm BaaAAack.. Very Happy
Minor detail: I was wondering if it is possible to change the color of the panels in Hall of fame section of my ogre team. I'd like it to be dark grey to fit the theme better. Right now it's just a [block=panelheader] code. Perhaps you can add a (color=something]?
