Surely a business model like this couldn't possibly work...
In all honesty, if they can make a good AI for it then it'll be worth a look for those who dont have regular free time to play here. |

Interesting....this implies they do have free time to play, might not be regular but it is free.
I thought that was the strength of Black Box. I got free time, hit activate and play.
Now in the end each coach must decide for himself...Do I play against a fellow human on FUMBBL or some AI spawn on my platform or PC version of some other game. Only they can choose. |

Thing good thing about an AI that you can pause it for as long as you want. You can't (legally) do that with a real opponent.
The bad thing about an AI is that unless it is actually competent then you will get away with stuff a human wouldn't let you get away with, making you a worse player in the long run. |

It is a very good model...they spend 10 million Euro on focus groups and found this out.
You mention the word World Cup in the context of Blood Bowl and the euro fans of the game will buy it no matter what. They just have this compulsion that World Cup/Blood Bowl....Iam all in. Where can I buy it? |

You still need an hour to play.
People get the hump if get you get interrupted too often, are too slow, want to play in a certain way.
You get vilified if you don't want to play in the 'right' way with the 'right' kind of team.
A good AI would be pretty handy. |

He's making fun of the fifa series, that fans buy the new 'slightly' updated version 7 times every 4 years.
1. The always name the game 1 year ahead.
2. You get a world cup qualifying game and then an actual world cup game.
This formula must be nearly 20 years old now, the first one was out on the megadrive I believe. |

Sell base game (only Orcs and Humans playable)
Sell additional squads as DLC
Pretty much how GW already does it |

My reference to free time and AI was more in the context of league. Id love to play some league but cant commit to the games regularly. If there was an AI, I could play through half a league one weekend then leave it for a month and finish it off. this would be quite fun!
And yes, FIFA was my mockery target of choice |
