Round 3 Conference North - Season 23

Dream Team Barcelona 3 - Ratelona 3

"The game of Yin-Yan"

The first half where both teams are skaven and Barcelona fans was a perfect example of score game. It finish 2-2 with lot of passes, dodges and touchdowns where run was the most importan thing. Only Zubizarreta the Rat Ogre of Dream Team Barcelona was thinking in eat ratatouille and finish the game with 4 casualties (including one kill).

The second half was the Yan and completely oppossite of the first. Both teams start to fail rolls of dice. Failing go for it with double ones, blocks (amazing six skulls of the rat ogre) and dodges. In the turn 6 and with 3-2 in the score, Ratelona fails a pass and leave the ball perfect for Dream Team Barcelona to make the 4-2. One blitz and hand off leaves the ball to 11 squares of the touchdown, two go for it for the gutter. In the turn 7 Ratelona place a gutter close behind the ball carrier and only one blith and two go for it separate the possibility of hat-trick for Stoitchkov. But this is Blood Bowl, the blitz with a push leaves spaces to run, first go for it perfect and... fails the second go for it! And then, in the last turn, the gutter of Ratelona dodge from his defender, pick up the ball, throw a large pass catched for another gutter and touchdown leaving the score in the final 3-3.

Crazy and funny game that leaves both coaches with a bittersweet feeling.

I have a question about the points, maybe I don't understand properly, my English is not the best.

You have a extra point for the reviews of your games and another extra point for the round conference review. Then how is possible that the leader of the Conference North has four extra points in two games, I'm missing something Razz

And, can you do review of your game independently if your opponent do it too? I mind of one game both coaches can do the review of the game and both coaches have the extra point?

You only get the extra point for your round review. Write ups of your own games are encouraged though as we are a fluff heavy league.

The Conference North leader has 8 points. 3 for a win, 1 for a draw, 1 for a review and 3 because his 2nd round opponents didn't play.

But both coaches can review the same game or only one review of one of them per game? I didn't review my first game thinking that only one of us could do it Shocked Embarassed Laughing

Season 23 - OBBA Premiership Predictions
Predictions:

Top three contenders (in alphabetical order) - CA Bloca Juniors, Pro-Russia Dortmund and Scourgehampton. Controversial choices maybe, but there is clearly talent coming up from the lower divisions, and last season's survivors don't look as strong/complete as a season or two ago. Will be a close one!

Bottom three contenders (in alphabetical order) - Barmbek Bloodletic, Ragenham 'N Dedbridge and Tranmare Rovers. Just don't think they will have the all round ability to consistently overcome their opponents to beat the drop despite the talent of the coaches.

Mid-table mugs (in alphabetical order) - Accrington Stanley Originals, Beitar Jersualem, Swampsea City, Watford Hornhits. The teams look good enough to get a few wins together over the weaker teams, but will need all the experience, wit and dice they can get to challenge for the top 3 places. It's a difficult one to call, and a few bad dice rolls could change the outcome of the top 5 places very easily.

Sooooooo... after 3 rounds of the Prem I just wanted to see how my predictions were going...

Top 3 - Bloca (yes - 3rd!), ProRussia (no! - 8th), Scourge (yes! - 1st!)
Bottom 3 - Barmbek (yes - 10th!), Ragenham (no - 7th), Tranmare (no - 5th)
Mid - Accrington (yes - 6th), Beitar (yes - 4th), Swampsea (no - 9th), Watford (no - 2nd).

Soooo... 5 out of 10 at the moment... still 6 rounds to go though! Smile

We are 3 games into the new season, but are always looking for new blood for the next one. And it'll come around quicker than you think, so just hold on and you can enjoy the fun times that is OBBA.

Round 3 – CONFERENCE SOUTH

4 Games, 0 Draws, 8 Touchdowns, 4 CAS, 3 Star Players, 1 Forfeit and partridge in a pear tree.

GAME 1 - LIZAPOOL FC vs FC RATZELONA

LIQUID FOOTBALL! With Skinks and Skaven dashing up and down the pitch this promised to be the fasted game of the weekend, FC Ratzelona had also managed to secure star player Fezglitch on loan just hours before kick off so this was shaping up to be a glamour tie even before the ball had been kicked...

Lizapool kick off, a longball goes into the Ratzelona half and the Reds blitz forward. The ratalan team though are astute passers of the ball and secure possession. The game has started quite civilly until what's this? Eusabio tackles Milner and knocks him out cold leaving the red defence exposed!

Laudrup deftly dodges out of Mignolet's way and bursts out into open space on the left flank, luckily the Lizapool defence finally switch on, knocking out Koeman and aggressively man marking. Lallana sticks to Guardiola defiantly and it seems he'll never go down, finally Ratzelona do what they are good at and just Tiki Taka the ball all over the pitch but SHOCK! They fail the final pass for a scoring opportunity and Sturridge gets back to secure the ball.

Amor attempts to tackle Toure and winds up badly hurt, Sturridge sprints the length of the pitch, but in a moment of madness, with the goal in sight he attempts to give the ball to the inexperienced Saurus and frankly useless Henderson in order to teach him some skill, Henderson losers the ball, fails to collect it and the half ends 0 -0 before Sturridge has a chance to make up for his mistake and score.

Both teams are missing players but the Rats sub on Fezglitch and Lizapool are left bemoaning their stupidity in not going in ahead at the break. It was now wise for the northern Lizards to play possession football and they simply carry the ball into the Ratzelona half without any careless trickery.

Even so, Bakero sees an opportuinty and takes Sturridge down, and the ball bursts loose, support arrives and just as the tide appears to be turning, star player Fezglitch knocks himself out whilst trying to show off to the fans!

Henderson decides enough is enough and makes up for his first half failure by covering the ball and breaking Bakero's ribs for thinking he could claim it. Mignolet decides to get in on the action, runs forward and knocks out Eusabio, all of a sudden the ball is surrounded by Reds and Sturride takes the easy goal he should have in the fiirst half placing it in the right corner.

The rats immediately get themselves into a strong position down one flank, with even the defenders up supporting Laudrup with the ball, the game now has 1-1 written all over it. Somehow, enough Red bodies crowd the ball, forcing Ronaldo to fall on his face and before the Rats can move, the Reds organise the defence and even manage to push Laudrup into the crowd. The ball ends up finding its way to new forward Benteke who carries it across the halfway line.

In no time at all there are 4 rats surrounding the young forward, but he dodges free, makes a run for it and in a sublime/cocky piece of showboating gives the ball to defender Lovren first time, putting Sturridge and Henderson's first half antics to shame. Sturridge decides to support, dodges free, trips and ends up in a pool of his own blood, the physio is quick to the scene though and reports that he was technically dead for 40 seconds!

Lovren is tackled and the ball covered by the ratalan defenders but Benteke decides to finish what he started and calmly collects then places the ball in the bottom right corner in a carbon copy of Sturridge's first and the game is all over. With only seconds on the clock after the second goal Abelardo decides he's had enough of Sturridge and his stupid celebration dance, he kicks him in the knee and smashes it into tiny pieces. An injury like that, especially to one as fragile and skinky as Sturridge isn't going away any time soon...

2 – 0 Lizapool, that's now 3 wins in 3 games for the Reds and they sit top of the group. Ratzelona dust themselves off and get back on the training field to work on their finishing...
