The deadline for first round games is Monday 20th October 23:59 server time. Please play your game by then or it will be decided by coin toss or forfeit.

The big dogs are off and running already.
The rebranded heavyeight champs, WMD's in OLC (BillBrasky chaos) defeated Mossbeard's Sneaky Lizards (lizardmen).
Open [L]eague Cup I winners Midnight Terror (Mossbeard necro), Open [L]eague Cup II winners Gygaxes (Gary_Gygax orc) and Free For All I Grand Champions Ninja Tactics (cdassak slann) all won their first games to progress.
Wallenstein's Atzacoalco Gekkos (lizardmen) won their very first match with the help of Morg 'n' Thorg to move on to the next round.

Maybe Lightning Strikes Twice's brave run has come to an end. Coach Arry splashed the cash (1040 inducements) to bring in Morg, Skitter Stab-Stab, a wizard and more to get past the heavyweight New Draculas.
However the draw was not kind and only rewarded them with a match vs the heavyweight champion WMD's in OLC. Unfortunately they could not repeat the magic and bowed out.
The WMDs await the winners of the clash between my own Old Westerosians and Mossbeard's Open [L]eague Cup I winners Midnight Terror. Is it true I've only played Mossbeard 5 times since 2006? Can Mossbeard even the series? 
The rivalry resumes Midnight Wednesday!
Banner of the Black Stag (Buuface - orc) and Pelican Bay (Kharon - DE) move into the third round.
Incubus Dreams (Greymurphy42 - vampire) and [CBBL] WMDs (BillBrasky - chaos (what else)) move into the second round.

After Match Press Conference atendee coach sonrises (FC Woodcelona).
Q: Good night coach sonrises
A: yeah. Not that good, we lost. Straight to the point or else...
Q: well, sorry coach. A difficult match up for your woodies...
A: Yeah. That chaos team was missing tackle, so i had a hope. They were full of Block, mb and claw though. We did a good job for most first half, splitting their team and preventing choas advancing. However, we could have positioned better in turn 7 first half. That mistake gave those beasts an easy advancing to the Endzone. It is likely they would score anyway, but we could have made things more difficult.
Q: Over the week you have been critisized by your own fan base. I heard they didn't agree to go into the cup with a 10 men roster and a journeyman only.
A: Do you think that money grows in a potato field!! Another stupid question and this is over.
Q: All right man. You made a bold movement at the beggining of second half that get your team 2 yds away from scoring the equalizer by turn 3 2nd half.
A: We saw the chance and went for it. Ko rolls were not working, so we had to try something different to make those horny beasts feel uneasy.
Q: Sorry coach, but i heard more critics...strip ball, should be a must have in your team.
A: Ok, yeah. it is not easy to bulid a team you know. There are other basic skills you need to work on first and...
Q: Come on coach, you Blitzed the Ball carrier 4 times in the 2nd half and could not get the ball out because you had not strip ball. Any 5 years old baby ogre with double really stupid knows that a team with 2 x AG 5 and 3 x leapers SHOULD have Strip ball!
