Rah-ma is sitting on his balcony as the sun rises in the east, a new dawn on the KPL. The tome of NUFFLE is open in front of him and he is in deep contemplation as he reads the holy text.
Deep in the heart of the great desert of Khemri a presence is slowly making his way to Khemri City. A dust cloud surrounds him, the creatures of the desert flee as he approaches. His pace does not falter, he suffers no thirst, he is a prophet and he comes with a purpose.
Rah-ma feels a force, a presence in the desert. He looks up over the city walls and far off in the distance on the horizon he senses a powerful force in that dust cloud. A presence coming to the city. A slow march that cannot be stopped.
Rah-ma picks up the tome of NUFFLE and collects his things, takes one last glance at the horizon. He offers a prayer to NUFFLE, turns and walks with haste to the garden of Settra were Tomb King Settra is relaxing. This news must be delivered in person. |

KPL morning update
HERE IS THE CURRENT STANDINGS IN THE KPL COMING DOWN THE STRETCH!!!
NFC is really tight for the last 2 wild card spots. 5 teams sitting right there but only 2 will get in.

Rah-ma is standing on his balcony looking to the eastern gate of Khemri City. A large crowd has gathered in the thousands. They surround the Prophet as he makes his entrance into the city. Behind him outside the city a large bedouin camp has been constructed as the people of the desert have come back to the city to see the Prophet.
The throng is slowly making its way through the city and headed towards the palace of Settra.
"Rah-ma he has arrived. His message is spreading like a brush fire through out the city."
"Any idea what are his plans captain?"
"He claims he is a prophet of the old Gods. That they have not abandoned us but have been banished by Nagash. He claims he can still communicate with the old Gods and wield their power, like in the past."
"Interesting, a prophet from the east wanders in from the great desert claiming he can communicate with the Old Gods. Did you find out were he is going?"
"He says he will be staying in the city for some time. He is planning on staying in the slaves quarter of the city. In order to stay close to his flock."
"Oh, Settra is going to love that news. Yes, that flock needs some attending but I think the King might no like this new shepherd."
"When do you want me to issue the Kings summons for this prophet?"
"I will speak with the King tonight. We have much to discuss about this matter. I feel I need to guide his hand in this matter. We both know that the King's direct diplomacy can complicate issues."
The captain bows to Rah-ma and leaves him once again alone on his balcony. He scans the city streets and they are flooded with people following the procession of the Prophet through the city.
Rah-ma opens up the Tome of NUFFLE and reads a section out loud. His divine power reaches out through the city on tendrils. They approach this Prophet and are rebuffed by a powerful spell. Rah-ma can see the prophet as he slowly walks with the citizens. He sees the prophet looking around, trying to find out the source of his spell of seeking.
"I will be meeting you soon Rah-ma, do not worry, we have much to discuss." |

Lahmia Impalers lock up the NFC East with their 2-0 win today.
Only the NFC south Division is left with out a winner yet, it is still up in the air coming down to the last 3 matches. |

** KPL Morning Update **
Round #9 has been closed out and forfeits handed down.
Round #10 deadline is 10/7
Ka-Sabar Conquerors are the first team to finish out the season and now they sit and wait and see if they get one of the two wild card spots in the KFC. |

** KPL Morning Update part II **
KFC (North American Conference) is coming down to the final 2 weeks and what a final 2 weeks it will be KPL fans.
We have the Pilots and the Heretics neck and neck to win their div.
We have the Reavers and the Raiders also neck and neck to with their divison.
Pilots finish out the season against the Bedouin who have clinched the #1 seed in the KFC. The Pilots finish out against the Wolves. Now we still do not know the situation with coach Azure, last time we heard he was in the hospital, so Iam not sure of his status or when he will return to FUMBBL.
So if Azure is down and out, literally, then all the pressure is on the Heretics to win their last match. Pilots still have two matches left so that show down with the Epicurean Club is HUGE!!!! Get that win and IF the wolves cannot take the field then Pilots will win the division.
Reavers spit the bit last match and let the Raiders off the hook. Raiders win their next match and they almost have the div. locked up. BUT if the Raiders manage to bungle it up then it will come down to the last match in a head to head.
Now for the wild cards in the KFC. Conquerors have the #5 seed locked up, no one can catch him.
So it will come down to the teams who do not win their div. SO all the teams listed above are in the running for the last wild card if they do not win their Div.
It will be a shame if Azure cannot return for the final push because he is right in the mix on all of this but we will just have to see how it all breaks down. |

Ok since we are headed to the last week of the season it is time for a heads up on what is about to happen in the KPL leading into season #4
1)PlAYOFF TIME!!! Who will receive the coveted Elixir of IMMORTALITY! Can Khemri go back to back as Champions?
2)The time honored are you IN or OUT Pm will be arriving soon.
3)Heads up on what is going on in the KPL heading into season #4. I have already introduced and will expand on the Prophet story line. The Prophet is the global event for season #4. What in da heck does that mean?
* You will have a choice during the draft. Convert to the religion of the Prophet or stay true to Tomb King Settra and Rah-Ma. What does that mean?
Teams who convert will be able to have 2 CURRENT players convert to the prophet and based on what level of conversion will have random skills, mutations or extraordinary skills added to your current player. More detail coming out soon on that.
Teams who stay true to Tomb King Settra will take part in a traditional draft system were the results are not random.
* With the glorious FFB upgrade on the horizon and Rah-ma and Garion double teaming Kalimar the inducements just for cards bug will be fixed. Also the dirty tricks will be up and running.
So teams will be given some extra money to buy either cards from the holy relics of NUFFLE in the magic item deck or purchase some dirty tricks of the Prophet.
* We will stick to the traditional Conference/Division system that we currently play under.
* There will be a change though in scoring format. In season #4 the team that losses in OT will be awarded 1 standing point instead of 0 points for a loss. It requires more effort from me, meaning I have to actually do something but I think that is a fairer system in the end.
* Only new teams to the KPL will be able to take a sip of Settra's Elixir of Khemri buff for season #4. There are rumors floating around of a new Elixir that the Prophet is handing out. Some call it snake oil but your never know.
Recruitment for KPL Season #4 is now up and running. Any new coach just needs to post in this thread their interest of joining and off we go. |

Ultha-ra infiltrated the camp last night disguised as a poor beggar from the streets. He rubbed elbows with the masses as they listened to the Prophet preach to them about the old ways. Utha-ra though felt as if there was something a little "off" on the message. It seemed to him that some details of the Old Gods were changed, their words of guidance and wisdom twisted. He needed to report to Rah-ma about this.
As he was getting up to leave the prophets priest's were mingling with the crowd, giving blessings to the poor and infirmed. With his trained eye though he noticed that the fit and young men in the crowd were being singled out by the Priests. One of them approached him. But he dodged into the crowd to elude the priest. He did not want to be discovered.
As he was about to make his escape he noticed that a few of these young men were lead away, to the tent of the Prophet. He turned around and stealthfuly eluded the paladins of the Prophet who looked like guards to him. He approached the large tent of the Prophet and snuck in one of the many flaps on the tent. He hid behind a large chest and watched a ceremony that rocked his faith.
The young men were all on their knees, asking for the blessing of the prophet. He stood over them and there as a haze about him, a fragrance was in the air. He opened up a large tome and spoke words of magic from it.
The men started to yell out in pain and suffering. One of them had horns grow from his head, another had his head split into two and they changed into the form of hyena. Another man had a tail grown from his backside, barbed and all black and the last man fell to the floor, a look of feral madness upon his face.
He turned to flee and then came up short, reaching down for his hidden short sword. Standing before him were 5 tall paladins of the Prophet. Each one of them showing signs of mutation that he just witnessed, they advanced on him with alacrity, bearing falchions and axes.
His screams mingled with the other men in the tent as he laid there in the sand, his life force left him. His last look in life was of the prophet standing over him and collecting his soul into a large urn. |

Deep in the heart of the black mountain in a throne room filled with bones and skulls, Nagash, supreme Lord of Undeath sits on his throne. His red eyes pulsate with rage, fury and hatred. His body pulsates energy of rage all around him. Far off in the distance he notices one of his minnions approaching him.
The ghoul throws himself to the ground in front of Nagash, crying in fear. The ghoul crawls on all fours to the feet of Nagash and lays a jewel encrusted scroll case at his feet. He turns and flees on all 4's back the way he came.
Nagash looks at the scroll case at his feet and notices the symbols on it. His rage consumes him. A bolt of dark energy lashes out from his crown and strikes the ghoul in his back. The ghouls death cries ring out in the fortress for 10 minutes as Nagash prolongs his misery until finally he becomes bored.
Nagash reaches down and picks up the scroll case. Reads the symbols of magic wrapped around the case. Admires the workmanship of the gems, dwarf forged and the case is made out of the hide of rat ogre. He opens up the case and pulls out the scroll.
He unfurls and admires the human flesh that it is written on. He then begins to read the words. As each sentence passes his fury increases. As he reads the last lines on the scroll it bursts into flames. He hurls the scroll case across the throne room and it shatters into a hundred shards. He stands up and unleashes his fury in the form of a cry of rage. The mountain trembles to its core, mines under the mountain begin to crumble and collapse.
He moves with alacrity across the throne room. He must call forth his inner council to inform them of his coming moves. |
