KPL is filling up now.
Necro/Undead division is filled in both NFC/KFC
Vamps have one slot left open in the Vamp Division in both the NFC/KFC
Khemri; We can never have enough Khemri teams...slots open in the two Khemri Divs.
So if you are interested you need to act fast. You want to be applied and set to go before the draft starts to get all your goodies. |

As the scorching sun has almost settled behind the dunes, fires still burn in and around the city. The first day of the peace treaty has seen few people other than army enlists tasked to begin the cleanup and rebuild. Most still hide in fear, and a disbelief that the epic struggle is at an end. None venture outside the city walls, where safety is still far from guaranteed.
A call goes up on the south wall lookout as two figures on foot approach across the sands. The guards are left somewhat stunned to see the site of these unguarded figures walking through the desert. As they draw closer, it is clear they are not alone, as two ethereal spirits seem to circle them. What appeared as heat haze in the distance is actually the pairs' guardians, their former team mates, now immortal champions, providing safe passage for their former coach and their team's current captain.
As Bedouin coach WhatBall comes into proper viewing range, most of the guards ease up, they won't have to fight again today. "At attention" comes the harsh call of the South wall commander. "But sir..." one freshly raised guard tries to interject. "But nothing", the guard captain bellows as he obliterates the fresh bones with a massive mace. "The Bedouin have not pled allegiance to Settra, nor the false prophet. Until coach WhatBall makes his choice, they are to be escorted by guards to the king."
After a lengthy hassle getting into the city, coach WhatBall sits alone and awaits Settra. His captain and ethereal ghouls forbidden from joining him, he waits for hours n end for an audience with city's king. Finally, Settra enters the anti-chamber from behind a large tapestry depicting one of his many victories. Coach WhatBall stands to acknowledge him, "It is a good thing I have an eternity to wait." he says dryly. A slight smirk does not show humour nor disdain. Settra, as always, is not amused, and his hand comes to rest on the end of the hilt of his sword at his side. He is ready to do what he must, if the Bedouin are indeed defecting to follow the Prophet, as his spies have suggested. It would be such a shame to lose another coach. Rah-ma, off to the side, is the most noticeably uncomfortable. He has pleaded and begged Settra to be lenient if it is true. But detailed accounts of merchandising and revenues generated by the Bedouin in the KPL mean nothing to Settra, and Rah-ma is all too aware of that.
An uncomfortable silence ensues. Settra's patience has run out, he slams a fist on the massive oak table at the centre of the room and it collapses, throwing shards of wood in a spray throughout the room. "Give me your decision, now!" he orders. WhatBall was expecting this reaction, even still, his back tightens and fear ripples through him. He finds it strangely exhilarating. "Settra, my friend, you have given me and the Bedouin so much.", he begins. "The KPL has provided us a great challenge, a reason to come out of the deep desert after all these centuries. But still we yearn for more, we are restless. We have decided to take on a new challenge..." Settra has been inching closer, his hand now firmly grasped on his sacred sword. WhatBall continues, as if he has not noticed, "We shall fight to defeat the false disciple and his misguided followers at your side. We will bring order back to the lands and the KPL! We will fight with YOU old friend."
Settra looks taken aback. How could his spies have gotten it so wrong. They were convinced the last time they had reported in. He is not easily surprised, but he quickly collects himself. "I am honoured at this news. We shall defeat the false prophet." WhatBall does not wish to let Settra suffer in confusion any longer. "You sent spies to us, disguised as new rookie players. I bear no grudge, I would have done the same, you cannot trust anyone right now. You understand I had to kill them though, but rest assured, they made adequate practice dummies for our training." "Then what of their reports of your secret visits to the mountains? Were those lies?", asked Settra. "Ah, those trips.", smiled WhatBall, a bit sheepish that they had been noticed. "We travelled to Karak Zorn, to have the Gnomes fabricate more chainsaws for us..." |

KPL Draft rules for Season #4
Rules of the KPL Draft
1:Each team will draft 2 players for their team.
2: These two players must be currently on the roster or purchased before the draft, as your draft pick.
3: You are drafting skill ups for these players
4: Your two players who you draft these skill ups for must have 0-5 SPP. You cannot add your drafted skills onto a player with 6+ SPP.
SO ONLY ROOKIES WILL HAVE THE SKILLS ADDED TO THEM.
5: Because of the nature of the draft these skills are added onto your player behind the scenes.
what does that mean ?
Well what that means is that each player has 6 skill slots hard coded onto him. If you add 2 skills onto a player who has 0 SPP. That means his 6+ and 16+ SPP skill up have already been assigned to him. He/she/thing cannot gain a new skill until he/she/thing reaches 31+ SPP.
SO
When drafting skill ups, keep this in mind. Your juicy draft pick who gets 3 skills cannot get his 4th until he reaches 51+SPP and he is starting with 0-5 SPP, so it will be long road to get that 4th skill.
This is especially important for the some of the off the wall draft picks. They will not have utility skills for a few seasons most likely.
The players come as is, all their racial traits, nega traits and so forth.
6: Teams need to be in post match mode to make this process easier behind the scenes. All teams get one free click through match to get back MNG, collect some gold and to get teams into post match mode.
7: This season we have the Prophet story line going on.
That means each team before the draft must declare their allegiance.
Do you declare for Tomb King Settra? If you do, then you will conduct the draft in a normal manner, off the draft board.
Do you declare for the Prophet? If you do, then you will pick two players to receive the blessings of the prophet. They will be mutation heavy and zany and fun (Which means totally unpredictable). Did I fail to mention they will be selected randomly?
8: Coaches who declare for Settra will draft in a snake order draft format, the draft order will be set later.
Coaches who declare for the prophet will have their draft performed one night in IRC so all can witness the rolls for their players. |

I don't know about anyone else but I feel terribly sorry for WhatBall right now 
Will we get to see the draft board before we declare for Settra or the Prophet or must we follow them on faith? |

I will have the Draft Board for Settra posted today, almost done.
I have been going back and forth on the Prophets draft board, do I make it totally random or do a normal draft board but make it mutation, zany heavy BUT you get to pick.
Iam leaning towards just making a zany, fun and mutation heavy board for you guys to pick. Having it totally random, well, might not be balanced and fun once the results are posted after a totally random event.
Iam striving between work to have both boards up today and tomorrow. Let you guys mull the picks over the weekend and then on Tuesday we draft.
I will post the process on how we will do this in the follow up posts. Coaches who have done this before know we will rank players and draft off of draft sheets. To many coaches and moving parts to do a live draft. |

In the ideal KPL half the league will be Khemri and the other half, the undead filth that shambles around the dessert,
Still some Khemri openings and one Vamp.
So get in early so you can draft some fun players and experience the fluffiest league know to FUMBBL. |
