Hi all! I just discovered Blood Bowl a couple of months ago and now I'm thoroughly enthralled. A group of my friends has a local league, but my team is rookie (basically, I've had 3 games so far (2/1/0 record!)) and most of their's are very experienced (both in SPP and XP); plus there's only 1 game to play every 2 weeks and this junkie needs a fix.

I hope it's ok, but I joined this site to basically train up on my tactics and general experience for the tabletop version. If I win my friends' league I'll get to add a mutation skill to 3 random players(!), not to mention the glory of a noobie pwning a bunch of old school ballers (did you see what I did there?). I have basically recreated my roster and I look forward to some blood!

Thanks! I forgot to mention my roster names are derived from military history, so I was able to take one of the nerdiest hobbies you can have and make it even nerdier. That takes skill, that's all I'm sayin'...

Now, in the interest of fairness...

You are a near complete rookie, using a rookie team vs experienced teams and you are already 2/1/0?

Unless you have wagered a huge amount of money on winning this league it would only be fair to let your mates in on Fumbbl if they don't already know about it. Wink

Otherwise by the time you have learned the sometimes sly, sneaky, underhand, unsportsmanlike and possibly borderline cheating tactics that may be employed here, what chance will you friends have? Twisted Evil

Cool Koadah, I just applied for membership. I accidentally applies with a ranked division team so a applied with a league division team (they both have the same roster)!

To be fair, my first 2 games were against an inexperienced coach w/ a very experienced team and a rookie coach/team (I won both 1/0), it wasn't till I played my 3rd game against an experienced coach/team that I barely pulled a (1/1) tie on the last turn with a GFI (and even then I only managed that b/c I put like 5 of his guys in the KO box...
