Valen, can you explain how the games work? I see 10 teams are divided into two groups, with 5 rounds where each team in a group plays every other team of same group. What happens then?
(I have zero knowledge of real-life sports.)

Seducing Slaaneshi Succubi 1 Soccer Girls 0
Well, this was a game between two rookie teams and it showed...there was very little innovation in the play and the game lacked any real flow due to the lack of flair skills.
There was one moment of magic whereby The Unholy One dodged next to an opponent, snatched up the football, dodged away and scored the game's lone touchdown. Surely the dark magic of Slaanesh was involved in this demonic play!
Overall, coach Candlejack was unfortunate to lose this one- meanwhile coach Hayati thanks the dark gods for their favor!

Seducing Slaaneshi Succubi 2 Salford Fire 49ers 3
Well, this was about as exciting a game as you could derive from rookie Orc and Chaos teams! The action was non-stop and end-to-end with neither coach giving any respite.
In the first half the Slaaneshi turned over the football for an early score after the dark gods once again intervened to thwart coach Valen's every attempt! However, coach Hayati made a blunder on a Perfect D, setting up too flat and allowing Gobbo Jamie Hemmings to score in almost immediate retaliation! Thereafter, the Slaaneshi were again able to enlist the services of the dark gods to romp another score in and lead the half at 2-1!
Coach Valen was quite dispirited at his point whereas coach Hayati felt the game was still there to be taken by either team. And so it proved- with a shortfall of players, the dark gods lost interest in the game, leaving the Slaaneshi at the mercy of their opponents! Despite various Slaaneshi attempts to grind the game to a halt, the Orcs were able to generate two turnovers and steal the match 3-2!
MVP goes to Jamie Hemmings with two touchdowns AND two RIPs from fouls! |

Seducing Slaaneshi Succubi 1 Fulham Football Club 1
This was a great game and in coach Hayati's view Fulham Football Club should have won it 2-0!
In the first half, despite burning through their re-rolls almost immediately, the Slaaneshi drive was looking quite solid- until a Slann leap of faith saw the ball carrier decked and the football plucked loose! Although there were several subsequent ball scatters close to the sideline, and the football even went out of play once (only to be pathetically thrown right back into the same place!), somehow the ball never moved far from its original spot- allowing the Slaaneshi to recover it and score JUST in time. Had the ball ended up further away then Fulham would surely have taken it and scored, as they had players lying in wait around the field. 1-0 Slaaneshi at the interval.
In the second half Fulham's drive looked to be stalled in a sizeable midfield melee- until the Slaaneshi star player The Feaster of Pain fell on a blitz and opened up the gates for a surprise Fulham touchdown! At this point, receiving for the last time, coach Hayati decided to try an aggressive formation to try and score in the last 3 turns- only to be hit with a Blitz! This left coach freshbree in close proximity to the football and deep into Slaaneshi territory, with very few defenders in range. However, Slaanesh once again favored the Succubi and conspired to ensure that Fulham would be thwarted in the end via a failed pick-up attempt.
All in all, a super game and we were lucky to get the tie! |

Seducing Slaaneshi Succubi 1 Killer Khans 0
This tight game was decided by the narrowest of margins, that leading to the downfall of Killer Khans. It came on their opening drive when their star Kublai was unable to break a tackle (even with a re-roll) and fell, turning over the football. From there and with the rest of the Khans out of position, the Succubi were able to take the football and score close to the end of the first half.
In the second half the Khans had the advantage of numbers, however, the Succubi formed a cage around The Beast of Slaanesh and proceeded to move from flank to flank without any ambition of forward progress. As time wore on the Khans were forced to try to invade the cage with bodies but it was too little too late and the Slaaneshi held on for the unexciting 1-0 victory.
Once again, the hand of Slaanesh seems to have been at work in securing victory for the Succubi!
Looking at the group, the next game between Soccer Girls and Salford Fire 49ers is key. Soccer Girls need more than 7 points to move ahead of the Succubi since they lost the head-to-head game. Then it may work out as follows:
If Soccer Girls win then both they and Salford Fire 49ers would have 6 points going into the final game. Salford could then qualify with a tie since they would tie with the Succubi and move ahead on the head-to-head result. Soccer Girls would need another win, unless Salford lost, in which case a tie would suffice.
If Salford win then they and the Succubi qualify for the next round.
If it is a tie then Salford qualify and either the Succubi or Soccer Girls, depending on how Soccer Girls do in their final match.
In short, the next match is very important for all three teams! |

At Sunday 18h bbtime the lizardmen of SC Echse Freiburg 14 have the chance to be the first team reaching the Semi-Final
But first they have to win against the Chaos Dwarves of Fairytales of Blood Bowl
They just need a draw to make it, but Nuffle won´t help the lizards like he did in the 2 games before (9 casualties in 2 games) |

Hmm, actually a very interesting situation could arise if these 3 teams all end up with 7 points...the head-to-head would be a paper-scissors-rock situation, so the other criteria would need to be used:
2. TD difference
3. TDs scored
4. CAS difference
5. CAS caused
6. 'Coin toss'
But, if Salford can just win the next game, then it would be settled there and then (with the Succubi also through) |
