this question came up in another forum...

How many dice are rolled in a blood bowl match? (on avarage)

And I thought: is there a way to count from match reports? and make statistics?

I have really no idea how many... thousands?
(counting each die, so a 2DB is two dice rolled and an armour is also 2 dice and so forth...)

Each person makes something around 30-60 blocks per game. Maybe 20-30 agility based rolls if you are elves, 5-10 if not. Armour breaks are probably 15-30 and cas rolls somewhere about 5-10.

I'd say it's somewhere in the realm of 150-200 per player. You could go through match reports and count manually. I doubt there's an easy way.

You could do it from cyanide as they have bbmanager which tracks all the rolls.

Do you want to bring back the luck-meter?

LRB 4 client had a luck meter. More accurately a completion meter.

I would love to see tables of rolls / rolls required - probably 2 types of table really. One a flat break down, the other a more specific one.

e.g.

Code:
Roll    1   2   3   4   5   6
Count   8  11   7   5  12   4

Code:
Required    2+    3+    4+    5+    6+
Results  10/12  7/12   3/4   0/1   N/A

Obviously there's a number of tables that'd be needed to cover it all so its not a trivial thing to implement (would be needed for 1D, 2D, 1BD, 2BD, armour rolls, injury rolls etc).

Obviously couldn't justify saying this is any kind of priority but it would be fascinating nonetheless.

yeah, this would be great if it was possible to extract via the API at least.

I would love to see something like this. When the Nuffle parody account on twitter tells you to get another hobby... heh. I'd love to see a "luck meter" or something similar.

I would be quite happy with # of armor rolls per AV, # of successes, # of KOs, # of cas.

Many hundreds.

Which is why a 1/36 fail is seen several times in a game, and why quad-skulls (1/~1300) is not as rare as one might at first assume.

If I remember right, in the lrb4 client you could open a game result file and it would tell you exactly how many of each dice you rolled.
for example it would say. 1=36, 2=42, 3=65, 4=82, 5=90, 6=53

But with the new client I don't know if we have the ability to look at our results and see the dice rolled. Definitly something Christer could do, but there are more things on the list more important I would say. Like I want the awards back first =)

I want to say that I remember Synn posting some empirical comments on this once - but it would have been years ago, and I can't find it now (which makes me wonder if I'm misremembering the poster).
