I've read the guide but I cannot get how the potion (to revive a dead player) works...

It says go the player page I did, no sign of how it works!!

now the match has ended and I've lost the player!!

The special Healing Potion can only be used on a player who is still living, and not during a match. This is what you were asking about, correct?

You need a magic scroll to resurrect dead players.
