Yesterday I rage-conceded in a box match versus Khemri and a promising +MA catcher quit my team in disgust.
SHAME OVERWHELMS ME
Actually not really.
It was one of those times, and I'm sure even some of you legends have these times, where even knowing some star players are likely to quit your team, is outweighed by the feeling; 'i have to sit through another 45 minutes of this crap'. As a person who has very limited free time this feeling is heightened, and though i never bitch about my dice - as bad games happen to everyone and usually bad dice are backed up by bad decisions - I do very occasionally give into the 'this is a waste of time' urge, which I usually somewhat regret later.
SO here's the point of my post;
WHAT do you guys DO to help you sit through the rest of a really crap game of bloodbowl; one which you are quite certain has already been decided by turn 3.
What do you pull up on youtube to entertain you during your opponents turn?
What music do you listen to muffle the sounds of your remaining stars getting fouled into obscurity or eaten alive by swarms of un-dead?
What other strategy or... substance do you use to medicate the 'f*uck THIS' which sometimes seems to migrate my hand the 'game' menu, even while knowing its a bad idea, and I should just man up and sit it out no matter the consequence?
BillBrasky will suggest Whiskey but i have to work early mornings so I need an media-based, rather than narcotic-based alternative.

Call in sick, whiskey, then Moar Blood Bowl!
I get bored when I win.
But if I lose, and especially after a dicing, I feel the need to play moar until I win. Punching babies, and kicking cats helps. But nothing feels better than clawpombing to death dirty orks or dorfs.
(Note: I never call in sick, but I can drink moar whiskey than Nuffle) |

I sit and watch the entire game i try to learn from what my opponent does
I laugh at all my cock ups and congratulate them when they kill my pixels i dont whinge nor swear nor insult
As formost in my mind is that the next time im having an amazing game killing pixels all over the field some other coach is being curtious enough to sit at their monitor through all the shit so i can have my 16 turns of glory |

I either click this match report in my coach profile, or remember the words of paulhicks.
<paulhicks> ...you know, if the worst thing that happens to you is you roll a bunch of 1s and your computer pixels die, then you should consider it a damn good day. |

@buuface how about answering to the other thread you started, which got a lot of response, before starting a new one? *rage quits thread slamming the door*
*comes back in* also: never concede. *leaves, slamming door again* |

When the scoreboard fails you, turn to the cas box.
Although really, I get a satisfaction from finishing/sitting through a game I know I've screwed up from the start (this includes even accepting/challenging in gamefinder against a team I have zero chance against but want to see how the coach plays with that skill setup). Since I'm not very good, I find that mindset helps. |

I think chatting with the person you're playing makes it less frustrating.
A lot of games just aren't fun unless you're winning but having a good chat in this game and going for some SPP makes it feel more like an enjoyable experience and less like just a loss. |
