My Woodhead Wanderers take on DrDeath's Rabid Ruffians tonight at around 20.30, or that's the plan.
We don't yet have a plan about how to deal with Pebbledash though. I'll discuss with my MB tacklers if there is a way to blitz someone in the dugout. |

Well this is a nice cross section of the tier 1 “majors teams” with some Forlorn teams, hoping beyond hope and then that goblin team.
Let’s break down this field of contenders.
The Front Runners
Going in before the draw I think we can safely say the front runners to win GLT XI are: Excellence of Execution, Brutal Cherry Pickers, Uusiverikulho and Watchmen Philosphy.
All these guys bring the pain and suffering and all of them have tasted some “majors” success. As with all bashers it always comes down to those AV checks and PileOn rerolls. Otherwise they can all be “had” and run off the field.
The second Tier teams that could rise up
Teachers of the True Teaching, Black Jewels, Rabid Ruffians, ENI, Run with the Pack and Manzazuu
All these teams are going to be lurking, ready to pounce if some of the front runners start to falter and die on the side of the road to the championship.
The Forlorn Hope
Red Corsair, Keroro's Squad, Hop on Pop and Mezmerizing Looks. Can it happen, is it possible, will the golden path to the finals open up and one of them takes the bull by the horns and blows into the finals? All I have to say is they better get the golden “draw” and not spit the bit.
The shambling horde
Ugly and Dumb find themselves wandering around the main draw, no clue as were to go, no idea what time kick off is at and totally dead. At least they got a shot, right?
The after thought
We got Explosives will show up, throw bombs, chainsaw up and running and will bring the fans to their feet as they get OBLITERATED in the opening round if they draw a front runner. The bar is not raised high for these guys, just do not make the match a BYE for their first round foe and take a few heads with them.
GLT XI is going to come down to the “draw”
The way the field is set up the draw is going to be HUGE. If the 4 front runners all find themselves in the same group, well then the field is wide open for one of the Tier 2 or Forlorn teams to capitalize and get into the finals.
Those top 4 teams go 2 in the top group and 2 in the bottom group. Well then it will take some serious upsets to deny two of them their spot in the finals.
No matter how the “draw” breaks down it should be a very interesting final 16 for the GLT XI. |

Milford from the main draw
The draw was made last night and the bracket is set, oh, MY!!!! Somebody spent a lot of gold on a voodoo witch doctor or some such the way the brackets broke down.
Forlorn has a good chance in the top bracket as only the Watchmen are lurking up there. The Winner of Mezmerizing looks and Red Corsair have a shot at making the run to the finals up top.
Down in the lower bracket Hop On Pop drew the Cherry Pickers, it will be tough but they got a shot against the slow plodding dorfs.
And of course the titanic throw down is on the slate in the opening round.
Uusiverikulho VS Excellence in Execution. That should be a titanic throw down and if history holds “form” the nurgle scumm will beat down and beat up the chaos thugs.
ENI or Manzazuu have a shot, who ever wins that match, come out of it in good shape and get the winner of the show down match all beat to hell and down a few players….you never know.
This should be a very exciting main draw in GLT XI |

Breaking news from the GLT
Coach DrDeath went into the locker room this morning to check up on the lads and TOTAL CARNAGE!!!!
It seems the 4th Annual Necros decided that spot in the final 16 belonged to them so they decided to eat all the rats and suck out all their brains.
DrDeath just stood there stunned as his glorious team has been eaten and are carved up by starving, brain sucking zombies. As the wolves approached, DrDeath ran as fast as he could, screaming for NUFFLE to save him. |
