this can quickly become quite the nuisance though.
anyway, i like this thread and idea. do you think it would require hefty programming to have these belts transfer automatically somehow?
say, if the site could "referee" these things along with the CR work it already does. keeping track of the champion teams/coaches and transferring belts when applicable. This way it could also automatically list Championship games on the top of the games list as well.
Could even have a custom pitch in these games. Maybe gold coin prizes or fan factor increase?
Only administrable if the site did it automatically of course.

I usually activate about half dozen teams. Sometimes all of them. If I played a team before there is a chance that I don't want to play with them right again, but there is also a chance that I am so addicted to them so I activate only them. Good luck predicting. 
If I were you, and would metagame, then I would assume that I activate all my teams.

I have a feeling that forcing teams is contradicting the blackbox. Forcing somebody to defend with stunty is like I would only activate my best teams all the time. I think that box is about getting random and fair games with the caveat that in order of fair games both players need to push the teams over the top for the next game instead of investing into them.
Edit: Lizards are not too bad, but still hold my argument. |

It's a bonus challenge bghandras. You don't have to put 'notches' in anything you don't want to. 
Part of the reason for throwing that little wrinkle out there is it will absolutely encourage belt transfers, while allowing the holder to build up bragging rights. |

Actually even if we start from the beginning of the month bghandras is still Champ. Unbeaten in May. |
The 2nd one. It's mostly so I have a solid historical point to reference just in case some maniac who plays 6-7 games in a day steals the belt and then loses it immediately or some similar thing. That way I can reconcile the changes in a linear fashion. |
