The links in the rulespack on the group page (i.e. to team creation & timezone specific applications) aren't links. I thought maybe this was just a timing thing and that they'll be changed come Monday, but neither are the links to the TT rulespack or website. |

Question: Is there already a working team creation link? I'm seeing one of the guys from my WC team on Sunday, and he is a Fumbbl n00b, so he asked me if I could help him create the team. |

There is on the group page. So: Online NAF Group (from goo's sig). Then World Cup Warm Up button. Then about halfway down the Tournament Format section. I don't think you'll be able to choose skills until Monday, but you can show him where the button to do that is. |

I'm guessing someone going on holiday from the 22nd-5th would be advised not to take part? 
I really want to though. The team mechanic interests me a lot |

Would an all Gobbo (maybe with Troll) UW team be allowed to induce some?

Answers from a phone, so apologies for being slightly brief:
Team creation: Available whenever, but skills and applications not accepted until the 10th.
Holiday: I recommend you sit this one out. There will be more! 
Tier 3: As per the rulespack! Skinks are not officially considered Stunty in this tournament. |

Just tried to make my team and it asked me to pick 4 normal skills for round 1 instead of 3 and nowhere to pick the rest of the skills. |

As per the rulespack (I hope, I can't check on my phone), team creation / application will be open at 21:00 BST / 22:00 server.
You can create a team before then, but you'll have to go back and fiddle with skills once I've updated the page. I recommend you hang fire!
It's likely it'll be prepared shortly before that advertised time. I'll blog and bump this when it's 'go'. |

Hi gang,
You should find that the World Cup Warm Up team creation link is up and running, and applications for the tournament are open (a little sooner than scheduled)!
Coaches wishing to play in European timezones should apply here, North American timezones here, and Australasian timezones here. The tournament will kick off at 22:00 BB time next Monday, 17th August.
The WCWU features a team event, and if you need teammates, the matchmaking thread is for you. Got a team? Your captain needs to list it in the team scoring thread before go time.
I will be accepting applications every couple of evenings, so don't panic if you don't see your name in the group immediately. If you have the group link on your overview, all should be well, and you can expect to be accepted a maximum of 48 h from team submission.
Problems? Questions? Ask below!
I think it's going to be an awesome tournament with a heap of sweet loot to play for, so come on down and get stuck in! |
