hmmm....DivXXX, or DivX^2 - I like it....
So how would it work? People would submit all the new rosters they want to try, then run tournaments using only the rosters each tourney admin wishes to use?
It could make for some very thematic competitions - an Underground League, or a Vampire Counts league, or even a Chaos league (Khorne, Tzentech et al. modified rosters with Greater Daemons...!).
The only limit would be our imaginations and the client itself. Plus, if we don't like some of the rosters ppl introduce, we just make a tournament that excludes it. Everyone would be happy then.
I recommend no rankings, though - some of the new rosters would never be intended to mix with the regular rosters. |

this is exactly what i think should happen!!!!

what do peeps think of this team? certaimnly is a bit different!!!
i want a league like this as the only place where experimental rosters are allowed is stunty... this could be a real fun idea i think if we can get it set up... rosters can be approved (no silly ones) by the all powerful fumbbl guys!!!

browwnrob_ni you hit it on the head... no silly ones... serious stuff that would make the game a hell of alot better... why... because it will be playtested ALOT... if the data is there to show it... we won't have to wait 2 or 3 years until they finally get it right... |

he is right, no other league does have the amount of players and games to test new stuff out. Its only theoratical if you don't have
the amount of games and teams to test skills or changes.
The best GW could do if they want to develop new rules is asking fumbbl to support a "testing" division. Problems would
appear faster then after a small GW Tourney.
Of course, the Client has to support the changes. |

Am i the only person interested in this? there are 40 something others who seemed to be in favour of it!!! we must standup and be heard!!!
i think we should do the following!
1) Ask GW if they want to use our proposed league to experiment with
2)Create a league where custom (sensible rosters) and tweaked rosters can be used to create a balanced league
3) Create an area on the site that allows custom and proposed tweaking of rosters can be displayed (kinda like the way Evo shows hisproposed teams)
in fact ill make a topic now!!!

last night i joined a real life tournament which uses its own house rules developed from all of the versions of bloodbowl and it seems like its going to be more fun then ive ever had playing bb. in this league there are 54 teams/varients of teams rangeing from all of the normal teams (with a few tweaks) too having 5 different versions of wood elves, chaos, and vampires. also has sisters of sigmar and several types of trolls and ogres not just generic ones. i would like to see some of these teams in an online format so i can test alot of them out not just only one for one tournament.

PS they also got a great rule where if your apothicary rolls a 6 you can use him again in the same game. but i dont think anyone would allow that.  |

Since we're throwing out league ideas, what about a Big Guys league? Kinda like stunty, only the opposite: teams are primarily composed of big guys. I'd like to see a Treeman team, personally.
