In a last match (third on this team), my Black Orc Blocker succeeded in getting his second advance, and I rolled 1+1. The player has Block already (lucky MVPs), and now I'm facing a serious dilemma.

Do I pick Dodge for him (then he goes down only on pow), disregard the doubles and take Guard or Mighty Blow, or go for Side Step or something other?

The team is pretty basic, 4 Blitzers (one with +MA, one with Guard), 4 BOBs (only one has Block), a Thrower and two Lineorcs.

I'm quite a fan of Diving Tackle flavour, myself.

If the team is early in its development its probably wiser to forgo the double and to take Guard since you don't wanna be low on the essentials. On an at least medium advanced team picking from the Agility category can make the BOB into a highly efficient supporter.

Thanks for the input. I was hoping to get the MVP on another BOB, but that's what happens when you roll the dice. Also, while Dodge does make him pretty awesome, I guess Guard would give more for the whole team.

Take the double, you have 3 more BoBs that can be boring anyway.

Even got a double 1

Because I think Orcs struggle against cheese-D's and elves, I prefer DT over dodge. Although I utterly love guard, and taking DT means you need to take tackle next, not sure if I can wait until the fourth skill to get guard.
