One last anecdote. I have a friend who wanted to save money, and found a site selling BB2 keys for only $5, so of course, like an idiot he jumped on it. Jury's still out on if his CC info is safe, but know why the key was $5? It was the Russian Bloc region locked version. All his text is in cryllic and he can't change it now.

Hahahaha! It does amuse me how gullible people are for amazing cheap offers/free things on the internet.

I tried the last Cyanide version and it had potential. Not great, but could have been OK with some solid bug fixing and an AI that didn't suck big monkey balls. The very odd scattergun approach to rules changes is what is mostly putting me off BB2 as a stand alone game, but the biggest factor is the considerably more atypical internet community playing it. Concessions, suspicious DC's, lol noob irritating text speak. No thanks.

I know nothing about coding or whatnot but isn't coding a game like this with only so many outcomes easy compared to something like call of duty?

If so is there any excuse for it not to be amazing?

Just looked a gameplay video from the first campaing match. The guy rolls a skull on T1 and it was not a turnover. He also blocked a goblin with pow/push and the goblin took an armor roll. Is it only the campaign or is the game that much changed?

His playing was not very impressive either.

Something like COD has vast money behind it though, this does not.

Shocked

With aging back, no player will reach 128 games anyway. Confused

Am I reading this review right?

" It’s actually impossible to fail routine actions, like picking up the ball or short passes."

Shocked

edit: ah I see, it's in the tutorial not the main game

naa it doesnt work the same,

Ageing, as far as I read it on their website:

A newly recruited player is about 17 to 19 years old.
Every 8 matches a years has passed in ingame time.
At age 31, there is a 40 % chance of him retiring.
At age 32, the chance of him retiring gets up to 60 %.
At age 33, the player retires, no matter what.

So, in a worst case scenario, your player starts at age 19 und retires at age 31.
31 - 19 = 12 years. 12 x 8 = 96 matches.

Best case scenario, player start with 17 and retires at age 33.
33 - 17 = 16 years. 16 x 8 = 128 matches.

There is so much that doesn't make any sense with that.

So elves and dwarfs retire in their 30's? And let's not even mention all the undead players. Confused

I suspect the campaign is just tutorial stuff only, since that's the first game it will let you get away with stuff most likely.
