Can you follow in the footsteps of Mossbeard, Gary_Gygax and Cdassak and win Open League Cup VI?
The Open League Cup is a KO tournament open to all coaches. There is no TV limit. Up to two teams may be entered by each coach.
Open [L]eague Cup
Kick Off Thursday 14th January!
The Cup is open to any [L]eague division team that the tournament staff considers appropriate. Teams may be excluded for example if they have been built up by playing only a very small number of teams.
If a coach is unfortunate enough to have his/her teams drawn against each other, the coach may choose which team progresses.
The first two rounds will have an 11 day deadline giving two weekends. The later rounds will have a deadline of 9 days.
[L]eague division teams ONLY
Bring your biggest and best!
House Rules
1. Fouling +1 to armour roll.
2. Claw does not stack with other skills that modify armour rolls.
3. Piling On allows coach to reroll injury only.
4. Right Stuff prevents the Tackle skill when blocked.
5. Sneaky Git functions like Guard on foul assists.
6. Banned sneaky git players are sent to the KO box instead.

I've signed up with my rookie-ish goblin team Little Krunk Kids and my halfling team Small Rod Squad.
All other coaches should prepare to be annihilated obviously. |

I've never played a match where I got more than 150k inducements to play with so I'm excited and hoping for a lot more than that. I've got my fingers crossed . |

My goblin team Little Krunk Kids (1040k) is facing Gary_Gygax's 2130k orc team the Gygaxes.
My halfling team Small Rod Squad(890k) is facing polonus100's 1710k simyin team the Almost Humans.
Any suggestions for inducements would be welcome. I've got a lot of cash to work with, this is going to be fun
Edit:
for my goblins, I've got 1090k to work with. I'm thinking Ripper, Morg, Wizard, 3 bribes, 1 babe leaving me with 40k left so if I add 10k then I can get another babe.
for my halflings, I've got 820k to work with. I'm thinking halfling master chef, Deeproot, Zara, 2 babes leaving me with 50k so maybe get a card?
Edit2:
Woops, my goblins only have room for one star player, so I'm thinking of replacing Ripper with 3 bribes, a babe leaving me with 110k in total to do something with. Not really sure. |

My goblin team Little Krunk Kids (1040k) just faced Gary_Gygax's 2130k orc team the Gygaxes in the following match which ended 0-1 for the Gygaxes.
The Gyxaxes had possession of the ball during 15 turns of the match and Little Krunk Kids never held the ball. The match could have ended 0-2 however Gary_Gygax decided to forgo the second TD in favor of protecting his players which was sensible considering his apo had been used up.
In terms of consequences for Little Krunk Kids, one goblin, Laggmarllence, suffered -AV and thus was subsequently retired. No other losses were suffered and thus Little Krunk Kids consider this result to be a win for the team. |
