Pass end into the crowd...
Crowd return it in game, another dwarf catch it...
No turnover? WTF?! 
(I will check the rule but that seem fishy) |

I'm guessing it is because it wasn't a fumble and the ball never technically hit the ground? |

I believe the technical term for that is a 'trickshot'.  |

Even of the ball hits the ground the bounce can still be caught by the active team for no turn over. 
Only exception is in case of a fumble which is a turnover regardless. |
