I'm pumped and excited. Now to figure out what kind of team to make. Any suggestions to give us a good variety. Mind you I'm still not a very good player.

The NWL is starting back up with rookie teams. Here are three ways to approach the re launch on team selection.

#1 Take a Tier 1 team that you are confident can come out of the gate strong. This plan ensures that your team will most likely make Premier for season #31. Coaches who are serious about league action usually go this way in a rookie first season. Ideally you just grow in strength through the seasons.

#2 take a race that starts off weak but has nice upside in the following seasons once they get some skills and season under their belts. ALA: Chaos, Nurgle and Lizardmen are a few examples. Coaches who take this approach are not worried about making Premier right off the bat but focus on team development and the "long play" to the league.

#3 Just take a team you think will be fun or you have not played often or at all. It is just for fun and see what happens. With the Right Stuff cancels Tackle optional rule in play that makes stunties: Goblin/Fling and Ogre a respectable team in the first 2 seasons. Once teams in the NWL come into form then the stunties start having issues.

I'd like to do this. West Coast coolness for me, even though I am mountain time zone...

I'm thinking one of the chaos teams since I've always avoided them due to the CPOMB reputation. What are some fun ways to build them other than cpomb? How much bash is fair with them?

I was asked if Simyin was available?

Yes it is, if you so desire.

If we don't have the silly piling gets KOd, the Hydras will return.

Bill

Did you read what is going to happen in the NWL on page #1?

Hydras as a legacy team in the NWL have been handed their hats and escorted out the front door.

Hmm or I could build a stunt team. Always at the bottom of the heap dreaming of the day they get promoted

Iam willing to have a discussion about this topic. Let every one have a say in it.

That the legacy teams of the old NWL can continue to play. That would allow any new coach to the NWL, if they like, can bring one of their established teams that are currently in the waste land of no league to join.

Established teams will form up the Premier and all the new teams will form up the Tier 2.

Let me know what you think about that idea. You want to make me change my mind on total reset, you need to convert me to your way of thinking. Iam committed to total reset of the NWL in less some coaches offer some stout reasons otherwise.

What time (BB time) will you be playing? I'd like to join, but am in the UK...

Well K2 you would join the Eastern group that is expected to be able to play at 7PM to Midnight EST. So you are 5 hours ahead of EST on the East Coast of the US. SO if a coach can play at 9PM that means you need to be able to play at 2AM.

You are 8 Hours ahead of PST or western US so a match at 9PM would be 5AM for you. IF you do not mind playing early in the morning the Western or Pacific group would work just fine.

This is a North American League, you can join just know up front I will not cater to your time zone when it comes to the North American coaches. Also I will not ask the North American coaches to go out of their way when scheduled against you.

For this season there are NO RESTRICTIONS. Make and submit what ever team you desire. Rookie team, no matches played.

Once we get the first season under our belts we will then look at the league and determine if any balancing of the “races” needs to happen for new coaches joining season #31

So there is obviously a huge advantage to jump in right now, there are no Restrictions on what team you can play.

I'd probably rather see everyone starting with new teams, so we have a more-or-less level playing field (just my 2 cents).

So, we're not going to be using the PO nerf that was mentioned before?

Nope, we are going full blown CRP plus the Right Stuff buff.

Are still around, and former NWL champions!

I don't mind restarting a new team, but if something opens up for old teams I'll throw them back in.

I may need to take off the first season though, I'm going to be on vacation for 3 weeks and already have enough stuff to worry about scheduling for now. But if you need/want a body I will throw them in and just take the concessions for the 3 weeks I'm away.
