Quick question. Can SL teams play L teams?

It all depends on the ruleset used to create the team.

I created a Simyin team in League. Can it play against Secret league teams?

Unless it was a Simyin team created for the Secret League ruleset, no.

Lets clarify one thing.

Secret League teams is the very broad name for the 'pack' of teams that where created.

NOW

Every league who uses any form of customization will then have their own unique rule set. Only teams created inside that rule set can play in that league. It also goes the other way. A League team created in a specific league using custom rules can not jump into another League using its own custom rule set.


You can create a league that allows CRP teams/Secret League roster and stunties BUT you have to create your team inside that league and not import them.

Hope this clarifies things.

So, if you make a new team, select League play. Then that team can only play in leagues that DO NOT have a custom rule set for the league. Any league that allows Secret League teams by default uses a custom rule set. Thus any team created outside that league cannot join.

If you want to play vs Secret League Open teams create your teams at the Secret League Open group.

Use the Create team for this league link. Simyin & CRP teams are accepted.

Then sign your team up here to be eligible for Sprint points.

Your team must be created with ruleset 303. Ordinary league teams won't work.

Hopefully Christer can simplify it all and let us use our regular teams.

Is there some way teams can transfer between rulesets (if that roster is allowed in both rulesets), or is that not possible?

What would happen if someone made a league using a custom ruleset, and then changed the league to a different ruleset later (in the league options)? What would happen to teams that have already been created?

I think would depend on the rule set.
I.e extra cash etc

It's not doable yet.

For now, when you create a team from a league, this team is linked to the current ruleset used by that league (even if your team plays in other leagues)
When you change the ruleset, the teams created from this league will use the new ruleset.

I hope I'm not wrong Smile

The most important thing to know is: two teams can play each other if they have the same ruleset = if they are created from leagues which currently use the same ruleset.

Heh heh heh.

I've thought that myself. I think it might work. Twisted Evil

The problem is that most of the teams that need to be moved were not created from a ruleset.
