Edward Grottybrook of Ranked Amateurs picked up a niggle in his last game. He's been running on -AV for a long time now, and I was waiting for one more serious injury before using my potion on him. I'm just wondering, is now the time? On the one hand, with his two perms, he takes 2.5x as much damage from normal knockdowns and significantly more damage (call it double) from fouls and MB hits too. On the other hand, his actual ability to play is unimpaired.
If I don't potion him, I'm afraid he'll get killed.
If I do potion him, I'm afraid he'll get gimped with -ST or something.
I think the former is the bigger risk, but in the latter case I don't have the potion to use elsewhere. I'm not huge on major tournaments, so in this case, "elsewhere" is my NBFL team. I have one potion.
What say y'all? |

Whatever you do, play the next game first so you can hire 2 more instead of just one if you potion |

Yep. Already readied.
Rules question: I readied with my two Journeymen. If I potion now, does that mean I get 12 menz for my next match? |

Potions aren't in the rules, so there's no official answer. I don't know how this has been handled in the past. I'd guess you'd be made to unready/reready the team if it's in a tournament. If not I doubt anyone would care. |

They're not in a tournament. This isn't really a tournament team, they play too many games to get locked into a tourney. And they're kind of a goofy "fun" concept team (though they're still fairly tough); I'd bring a "serious" team to tourneys. |

But he's also chasing Krikack for the title of "greatest Human player ever" (never mind that big K was not really a "human"), and Krikack was raised from the dead. Grottybrook still has a way to go to catch up to that mighty Ogre, and it'll be a lot easier to earn 172 SPP and/or 77 Cas without the AV bust and niggle. |

Snot boots are made for stomping
Felt bad I gave him the niggle but not bad enough to not foul him. I'd potion him after your next game, as I said in the game chat. |

I thought potions could cure death? I must've misremembered. |

Bringing players back from the dead is a rare option, not potions.
Yeah potion him! Can't have a man who can't take a blow as your team mascot and hitter.
I suppose -S is the only single injury you would retire him for. |

A scroll brings players back from the dead, a potion cures injuries, a sponge cures a niggle. |

How many others "icons" do you have in your teams that would deserve this potion ?
None ? 3 ?

@ThierryM: He's my only Legend. I have a couple other odd/goofy/cool players (like Malachite the Orc Wardancer) that I could imagine potioning because they're the heart of their respective teams, but Grottybrook is the only one who's on track to do anything special. |
