Resurrecting an old thread but would want opinions on how to make redrafting more leveled with building new rookie teams for our small local league. We want the league to be accessible to new teams while keeping at least some of the perpetual team building aspect for old teams. So, here are the fundamental ideas I have for a "light" redraft (compared to the one in BB vanilla rules), please comment.
"Rookie" teams mean new teams created at the start of the season and "old" teams are those who have played one or more seasons previously in a league.
STARTING VALUE / GP
-All teams get a total 1.100.000gp for team building, this money can be used to buy players and skills as described below. Unspent cash is placed in team treasury.
FAN FACTOR
-Rookie teams can't buy fan factor.
-Old teams have their fan factor divided by 2, rounded down (FF 5 becomes FF 2 for example).
REDRAFT OLD PLAYERS VS. BUY SKILLS FOR ROOKIE TEAM
-Rookie teams may buy 4 single skills for four separate players for 20.000gp/skill.
-Old teams may redraft some of their players for a maximum total value of 250.000gp.
RETIRING
-When a player has played in a season for at least one game, he is considered to have played one season. Played seasons are added together and after the player has played a total of three seasons, he will retire and is no longer available for drafting. |
