My javabowl works just fine,except of the fact that i cant play games with one special team.
It's my norse team the "Niflheim Helstrøms"
I could play with them in earlier versions. i havent played for about a year. so i updated my javabowl but when i tried to start a game with the Helstrøms I receive following errormessage:
http://fumbbl.com/teams/Niflheim+Helstr%F8ms.html java.lang.IllegalArgument Exception
so it works with all other teams i assume its because of the ø in the name.
If this really is the problem, is it be possible to change the teamname in Niflheim Helstroms ? |

I think it should work with direct connections. Proxy-games have difficulties with scandinavian characters. |

thanks for the quick reply.
but the error occurs when i try to start a standalone, too. and i just tried to start a direct server but i got the same error message again. |

It's an issue with one of the java versions as far as I know... Go to #approval and get the special character removed - that's the simplest solution. |

The problem is not with the client but with the java version. if you have version 1.5 it wont start. until 1.4 it ws ok. But there are many posts regarding this topic. Use the search function 
And you cann alway ask a nice approver to rename your team |
