While reading a trade magazine, I came across a listing of the most popular pizza toppings in the U.S. (according to Papa John's & Domino's). I got to wondering how well this list would hold up when exposed to the "international palate" of fumbbl...

So, what would the world like on its pizza?

Pine Nuts.

Don't get me wrong a Piza with only cheese, red gunk and Pine Nuts would probably not work well, but its a recent addition to my local high quality italian pizzeria menu and rocks in a big way. Works to add depth and surprise to so many other toppings. Unmissable.

Though Pepperoni is rarely missed also.

When I can find it, real strips of bacon cut into pieces is unbeatable. Way better than the "bacon bits" you get on most pizzas. Pepi's Pizza in Ontario, Canada has the bacon the way I like it

I like it simple: tomatoes, oregano, garlic, olive oil.
From time to time even some mozzarella or fior di latte, though no basil.

Anchovis but only as part of a pizza that includes peperoni and black olive's.

My favourite and my 5 year old daughter.

7yr old son goes for plain cheese. Won't have anything on his.

Some weeks ago I had an incredible pizza: cheese, cherry, pineaplle, banana and dried grape.
Sounds strange, but it definitly was worth a try!!!

Pizza is not pizza without mozzarella! Such a travesty!

I like them with tomatoes, oregano, garlic, and olive oil sometimes also, but always with the cheese!

Pontillos Pizzeria had a really yummy sweet Italian sausage recently.

PARMA HAM!!!!!!

I actually put ham as a vote but had to big-up parma ham for being my quintessential pizza adornment. I could eat all day....

Well it's my opinion thats it is NOT what you put on the pizza, but rather what geographic region you're in that makes the pizza good or not.
