Nice spread of MVP's ... could do with rolls like that on some of my teams :-P

Concession MVPs very often seem to behave oddly.

your naming of the team is not following the Fumbbl naming convention thou!

i must be missing something... it looks fuckin lame to me ;-/ how come all the concessions ? i just dont really see the funny side ;-(

To get rid of players # 8-11, 7s teams play their first match against a dummy, concede immediately, and fire the players.

I see some one renamed your players ;)

What drama :D

But why? I know that the dummy teams dont comply with the site's naming policy. But these dont play any regular games, they just act as an added mechanism to help people get rid of the extra players on newly created 7s teams.

So why bother renaming them? Shame.

Are they under the same restriction to be "drafted" at 4 mvps?

:)

It doesn't matter if you play with the team or not. There is a naming policy that still applies. You thinking you are special and above the rules... Shame.

This is a storm in a teacup, but surely there is a reason why we have Humans rather than Cyborgs as admins. The naming rules are there for a very good reason and should be adhered to. The reason the rule exists however has absolutely no bearing on the role this 'team' plays in a cloistered League outside of the main divisions. A sensible Human could see that in a few seconds and use some discretion.

Surely there is no point anyone expending any time enforcing the rule for the sake of pedantry when it comes to a dummy little team like this! Using the same logic, this team should have been retired many times over for 'illegal' concessions. Clearly though, that would also be an uneccessary application of a rule that serves an important purpose elsewhere, but should sensibly be ignored in this context.

Okay, so that little rant is way more effort than this issue deserves, I just think the admins could make less work for themselves if they didn't get their knickers in a knot about trivial little things like this!

I'm a bot, didn't you hear? Any way, no one gets special treatment, because that will actually create more problems.

And the rules for concessions only apply to games in the competitive divisions. Nice try though.

The concession rules don't apply to League because someone bothered to write that exception down. No one has bother to write down anywhere in the rules that 'dummy teams that are not intended to ever play a game apart from turn 0 concessions in a League are exempt from the team and player naming rules. If such a team begins to be used for genuine matches then the excemption is removed and players must be named as per the normal rules'.

Just because such an obvious and logic exemption isn't written down anywhere, it doesn't mean there is any benefit enforcing the rules for the sake it of. I can't see how this could possibly 'create more problems'.

Plenty of leagues bend the FUMBBL rules in all kinds of ways (such as banning the use of the 4-minute timeout for example) without it causing any issues.

Wallace. L is not a competitive Div - never has been. Hence the concessions rules do not apply, nor does the R "can't play twice in a row vs same cpach" rul,e etc.

L is not "bending the fumbbl rules" by not enforcing the 4 min timeout - it is a L option, as are using 2 minute turns, etc. The "fumbbl rules" of which you speak apply to R and B. Stop being a div.
